The cabin does have a microwave oven, toaster kettle, but there are only 2 cups and 1 spoon. No other utensils or crockery. No AC on very cold nights. Tried the camp kitchen but was unable to locate one bowl and 2 small oval plates. The owner said she might be able to provide something from her house but nothing was forthcoming. When you reserve a cabin, expect to have at least the basic necessities.

The room was clean and spacious with a queen bed and 2 Balinese style chairs. It also contains 2 coffee cups, 1 teaspoon, 1 microwave, 1 toaster, and 1 kettle. No cutlery, no plates, no microwave tools or cooking utensils. You can imagine it would be very difficult to use any of the appliances without the necessary items. The website and trip advisor description also state that breakfast is provided. To fill the kettle you have to place it under the shower as the wash hand basin is too small to fill from the bathroom. I mentioned the above to the person at the office who helped out because the owners were away for the weekend. He was surprised and so was one of the workers who commented that the shower water may not be potable. I talked to the owners over the phone and they suggested that changing the content of their website would be expensive because the web designer was back in Denmark. Breakfast is not served as it has not been for a while. They further commented that they had provided additional items that had been stolen during the past, and I should have used utensils from the community kitchen. I informed them that I had tried, but none was available. I also told them that there have been other comments like mine regarding the lack of crockery, cutlery, etc on Google and Trip Advisor. The Southern Cross is a lovely and friendly hostel/camping site. Unfortunately we only got to stay one night but it was great during our stay there. The hosts created such a cool place for tourists to stay while visiting such a beautiful location in the 1770 s. My partner and I couldn't be more pleased with this location. Excellent amenities and reasonably priced, plus lots to do on site, such as discovering 1770 agnes water. Will absolutely return and come back to visit in the future.

I will definitely come back in the future. The location was great, right next to a lake and a windmill. Luckily they had the transportation to the city without any issues.
