In comparison to other backpackers hostels, this one is excellent. The reception is pleasant and tidy, and the room is conducive to relaxation. The complimentary breakfast is adequate. The bathroom needs some subtle control over the temperature of the shower, but it is still a good one.

I stayed at the jolly last summer and had an amazing experience! It was my first time backpacking and they made me feel comfortable and welcome right away. The staff were very friendly and organized entertainment every day. Great location and the cleanest hostel around!.

Akomodasi di Sydney pada musim ramai cukup mahal. Di hostel ini, kami bisa membayar lebih murah untuk kamar double, tetapi itu bukan pengalaman menginap yang bagus, hanya rata-rata. Sarapan cukup buruk, jadi kami lebih suka makan di luar dan kamar mandi digunakan bersama, tidak ada kamar mandi pribadi.

I stayed in a double private room for a week and it was nice. The room was neat and not very noisy on weekends. The staff were friendly. Free wifi drops frequently during peak hours (5 pm to 11 pm, which is understandable. During nonpeak hours it was very fast. Had a mishap on the first day. A cockroach flew into the room as i left the window open because it was very hot. The staff apologized but i managed it. There were no other incidents after that. Overall a nice safe place and good value for money compared to other backpackers in the area. Will stay there if i visit sydney again.

The location is good for evening out and a short walk through the botanical gardens into the cbd. The showers and dorms are clean and comfortable. The facilities are quite good with a kitchen to cook your own meals although it gets busy at dinner time. There is always a fun night out at the jolly with the entertainment team leading the hostel to local night spots with free entry and cheap drinks deals. The hostel itself has a homely feel with a combination of people staying on while working and those passing through on their travels.

Good service and location, but quite dirty. Linen not washed and cockroaches in the showers. The room was very small but as expected from a hostel. A plus is that the hostel is locked for outsiders at night so it is quite quiet and there is no party, which is good if you just use it to spend the night.

The staff is very friendly and makes it feel like home! I met some friends for life here during my travels and i would say to anyone that this is the best place to meet new people, have fun and love life! An endless variety of fun! The swag man ticks all the boxes in your hostel needs with comfortable sleeping, 24 hour security, local amenities and the hostel provides you with entertainment from poker nights, movie nights, free bbqs to going out and having a few jars with your new best friends! The staff are very friendly and feel like home!.

Jolly swagman is an amazing place to stay because of its colorful atmosphere and friendly staff like nabel and sam who notify backpackers of any work available as they have a facebook page with work available from local businesses so you can have work available if you want it. The rooms are spacious with some having fridges, tvs and sinks to wash hands which is a definite plus for those who prefer to stay indoors. I stayed in a couple of yha hostels and unlike them jolly swags doesnt tolerate troublemakers and kicks people out the next day which is good as it feels more safe here.

Saya menyarankan semua orang untuk tidak tinggal di hostel ini. Saat kami tiba kami berakhir di sebuah ruangan dengan lima orang lainnya, tetapi sejauh ini tidak ada masalah. Masalah terjadi tepat saat malam tiba. Seluruh lantai dasar dipenuhi bau ganja dan saat kami tidur, baunya semakin kuat dan berisik. Jadi keesokan harinya kami meminta pindah ke lantai lain. Bau dari lantai dasar tetap ada tetapi setidaknya tidak ada di kamar kami. Yang lucu adalah ketika kami memberi tahu resepsionis tentang bau ini, dia menjawab "ya, saya tahu baunya". Kamar mandi adalah pengalaman lain yang agak tidak menyenangkan karena airnya hampir tidak mengalir dan satu-satunya pancaran lemah jatuh ke dinding. Selimut di tempat tidur digunakan kembali oleh berbagai orang tanpa dicuci. Nyatanya sprei hanya sarung bantal, sprei dan sprei. Entah sudah berapa lama selimut itu berada di sana, sangat tidak higienis dan menjijikkan. Pengalaman yang paling mengerikan datang di hari terakhir, check-out jam 9 pagi, kami terbang jam 9 malam jadi kami bertanya apakah ada ruang untuk koper kami. Jelas tidak, Anda harus membayar loker seharga 4 dolar selama 6 jam dan jelas koper tidak muat di dalam laci itu. Staf yang sangat kasar tidak mengatakan apa pun kepada saya. Sedangkan untuk staf, tidak ada yang terselamatkan. Wifi gratis datang tetapi sangat lambat. Anjing yang berlari bebas di taman asrama dan melompat ke arah Anda (saya berbicara sebagai orang yang takut anjing).

We can highly recommend this place! Its in the middle of backpackers street, so there are many happy travelers creating an extraordinary atmosphere! Great location. We started our trip from that hostel and were really happy because of it! Nice staff, very helpful!.

I stayed here for 2 nights and got a room to myself. The staff is friendly, and my room was clean. It wasnt noisy at night i was expecting to wear earplugs, and honestly the bunk beds are very comfortable. I swear they have higher thread count sheets than i do at home.

The hostel is amazing. I came here alone and made so many good friends that i will have for a long time. Everyone who stays here is so friendly. Its also in the heart of kings cross. The staff are great at helping people find jobs and the transportation from kings cross is very good to travel around the city. The entertainment is great in the hostel we go out every night and get free tickets to clubs and free drinks which is great for backpackers on a tight budget.

Saya tinggal di sana selama 3 malam di 3 kamar yang berbeda. Kamar selalu memiliki 3 kamar tidur dan dilengkapi dengan baik. Tidak baik makan ceri bersama kepala rumah dan saya pikir dia tidak menyenangkan. Orang-orang di resepsi jauh lebih ramah. Asrama juga cukup mahal. Saya pikir ada hostel yang lebih baik.

The staff is amazing, they will do almost anything for you and were very helpful. The location is great, close to everything you need and places you want to see, and very close to the train station, you can go anywhere you want. The people you meet are friendly and you usually end up with a couple of new friends at the end of your trip. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to travel to sydney.
