Boutique refers to the fine character of this heritage feel hotel. Cute rooms with personality. The lavender gardens and cobble stone surrounds set the tone for old world European style breakfast well worth the small price. Will be staying here again.

Ticked all the boxes for a stay close to the MCG, and whilst the rooms are fairly rudimentary they are easily the nicest I’ve stayed in anywhere for the price point. Staff were lovely too. Recommend

This was a great place and good value. I wanted to be near a park for my daily runs and have a safe quiet, reasonably priced stay. The Magnolia was terrific. It's an easy 25 minute walk from the very busy downtown core. It was also very safe for walking. It's in a mostly residential area, but within walking distance of several spots. Fitzroy Gardens were a 2 minute run from the hotel. It's close to the cricket ground and the tennis Centre. Also, there were a few cafes nearby. Breakfast was available for a good price. And the owners were very friendly and helpful. It's an older place, but clean and quiet in a nice garden setting. All in all, a very pleasant stay. I'd choose this over an expensive 5 star joint any day.

Magnolia Court is in a great position, close to lovely restaurants, the MCG and Rod Laver Arena. Not a lot of traffic noise, you wouldn't even think you were so close to the inner city!

Great location in East Melbourne, close to tennis and MCG. Wonderful staff! Great breakfast for 6 AU$. Older property but everything worked well and was very comfortable. I highly recommend!!

Great location. Well used, comfy accommodation but could do with a little TLC. Parking is a problem but long term there is no need if one only wishes to explore the city and surrounds. Public transport is so good in Melbourne. Breakfast was well catered for with minimal payment. Staff cherry and always eager to help out. Most enjoyable stay. 🎆😊

It was very basic but comfortable. Walls and doors could of done with a wipe down but otherwise clean enough. I specifically requested car parking to be available, heard no reply so assumed it would be however on arrival got told there was none left. Parking at the hospital was only 1 block away and at cost of $30, but as we were in a rush to check in and get straight to our concert it would have been nice to know this. We were impressed with the good value and variety breakfast for only $8 per person. Great quiet location and close walking distance for Olympic Park where we were going for our concert.

Liked the front garden and also patio for Bfast, morning and afternoon tea. Compact size Room with twin beds were perfect for me and quiet town so easily slept in. Definitely stay again.

Very convenient & quirky. Having said that, there is a general lack of maintenance on the property, light globes blown, loose fittings - just basic building maintenance is neglected.
