Because we stayed elsewhere, this review is only about the food operation. And let me caution you, readers, that the food is fantastic. Very generous portions, very reasonable prices, and a very good pub menu. We had chowder, and it was excellent, and the flathead tails were also excellent. It was very busy, and the patrons all left nothing on their plates.

My daughter said it was the greatest vacation ever! In regards to the hotel itself, I cannot have reserved a better location. It was well within our budget and we had a double bed and a single bed in our suite, making it perfectly suitable for our family. My 8-year-old reportedly exercised a pool outside the room despite the weather. The hotel itself was excellent, with a lively bar and locals, and Friday night raffles we did win a few rounds! The bistro also serves excellent cuisine. The food was a blend of traditional australian pub meals with a special board featuring a wide selection of local seafood. We ended up eating a number of meals here because it was close and just made sense since there were a wide range of meals to choose from. Both the bar staff and waiters were very friendly and down to earth, frequently engaging in conversation to inquire about our days, what we had done, what we had seen, and offering suggestions for what else was popular locally. We were well situated for short trips to lake tyres, lucian caves, meeting, and of course all the activities such as boat cruises in the lake entrance itself. Overall, I would definitely return and stay at the hotel in the center, and I cannot express how much I do! It ticked all of our criteria.

We booked a room with 3 people. It was spacious and clean, but the door didn't close correctly, we placed a chair against it for security. But the place was quiet as all of the rooms facing the pool, so it was very busy and noisy in the summer. The location is convenient and close to the main sights.

The central motel's lodging was spotless and up to date. The bathrooms had nice showers and standard-size rooms. There is no need to haul your belongings up to the upstairs floors because all rooms are on the ground floor. It was a typical roadside motor inn offering in the pool. Although the hotel itself was pleasant and offered good bistro meals, it was a little pricey. The Lakeside promenade, which has cruise boat berths, is all within walking distance, as are the several restaurants and the lsl.
