We had three pork belly, which was delicious and beautifully presented to us, and they also served garlic bread in the manner of a pizza or garlic dough. The gnocchi that was also enjoyed by another group of guests was also good. Stylish and refurbished dining room. On the day we went, they were doing a photo shoot of their favorite dishes.

Perfect cheap accommodation at Charter Towers. Beautiful, comfortable bed, spotless, clean room, air conditioning, great water pressure for showers, fridge, microwave, friendly staff, whats not to love? 10 out of 10.

We ordered the steak, which was cold when presented and appeared to be tasty and delicious! We spoke with the waiter who inquired if she could touch the steak with her finger to check. And yep, she confirmed it was cold and offered to take both plates back to the kitchen. As a peace offer, we were each offered a free drink. My chef partner inquired how the steak would be heated and we were informed that a new steak would be prepared. I was happy to do so. The rest manager resorted to our plates once more. To discover the same steaks on the same plate with the same unused medium and being properly heated up. Perhaps in a microwave. We chose to eat the meal because it was of the highest caliber cuts of beef but expressed our disappointment as we departed. Oh.. No one came to ask if we were satisfied with the second occasion! Disappointing, especially since the establishment clearly seeks to be better than the other pubs in town, they are not, and could use some customer service training! I hope this is not the typical six..

I had a great lunch at the Six. We both ate 200 I cape grim steak. It's all so well prepared. It had filthy potatoes inside. Pardoned and roasted, making it so soft but crispy on the edges. We had the pepper sauce, which was quite hot, and the garlic cream, which were more suitable for our tastes. The service was excellent. The drinks were excellent, especially the soda lime and bitters. The setting was more hip than any other establishment we've stayed in charter towers. Try a more laid-back lunch if you can't get in at night because the place is packed out.

Our biggest issuse was that we couldn’t get a meal in bistro as we hadn’t booked and were directed to go across the road for takeaway The staff had a care factor zero Interesting that we received an email via Wotif about their wonderful facilities especially the Britsro and how they looking forward to our stay

Basically we got what we paid for. At 189cm the double bed was too small. The room was small, but adequate. A faint smell from the garbage was a bit strong. Great help the young fella though.

Extremely poor value for money. Approximately ten rooms around a bland concrete rectangle at the back of a run down hotel. Shower barely hot enough at 4pm and 8am. No plates, bowls, cutlery or glasses to accompany the fridge and microwave. Staff made no attempt to accomodate us in the restaurant although this is the property’s principal claim to fame. Tiny rooms. The highest per metre tariff in our current two month trip.

The room was not as described in the listing and the photographs provided are quite misleading. I needed to contact management to cut our stay short but no-one was available in the morning. I used the Wotif message facility to try to contact hotel management but did not receive a reply. The rooms are dated and the hotel layout is generally unpleasant without access to a suitable outdoor area.

I booked a room on Hotels.com for this motel. I paid for one nights accomodation with my credit card and received a CONFIRMED RESERVATION. Upon checking in, the property advised me that there are no rooms available so I had to stay somewhere else. After contacting Hotels.com they say "we are trying to get in touch with the property but have no reply", then, next thing is that a refund cannot be given as it was a room which there are no changes or refunds allowed. I want my refund as it is purely a mistake between Hotels.com and the motel. A week has gone by now with no resolution, I don't recommend this property.

On arrival could not check in as the Rix claimed our booking had been cancelled. Inconvenienced by drive on to next town for accommodation & multiple phone calls to obtain a refund. Do not recommend.
