I have stayed here twice now. This hotel is family run. The rooms are a reasonable size and spotless. The food is great and the backhand is to die for! Vienna is close, either by car or train and believe me this place is much cheaper than staying in the center. I know from experience. Anyway I will return.

This is a typical country hotel without much to offer. Our room was basic and on the second floor. A real schlepper carrying the cases up two flights of stairs. Breakfast was good and filling. Easy access to the main train station. Small town with little to offer in the way of restaurants. Shops closed on Sunday, as are all restaurants by noon.

This hotel had limited staff, and when we got there late, all the staff looked friendly and gave us dinner. This was the only hotel in the area that had availability, so it was a real surprise. We wished we had slept in our car for a few hours. So, our kids ordered chicken and chips, which the chicken was contaminated in parts and one of our daughters suffered subsequently. This is just the start. It was challenging to sleep, my wife and I in a room with no window, and we were sleeping head to toe in one long bed strange. There is no air conditioning either, so the windows must be open. Our son woke us up when complaining about a bug in his bed red and black while we were all awake. I cannot begin to describe what, including leaking skylight windows and mildew to name a few problems that are immediately visible. But I can't say that the bug was or wasn't what we were all thinking. So, I didn't sleep, and we were locked up! It was a terrifying place. Brunch was also an adventure, with orange juice that resembles petrol and raw eggs that one can cook yourself.. Ignore this review and face the consequences yourself. Sorry, Oh, and we now understand why you must pay before you book rather than at checkout.
