The service from the employee was very nice and the food was good. The outdoor seating was nice with a view of the mountains in the background. So, check the beer selection.

We are lucky enough to ski in the wonderful Austrian mountains every year. At the conclusion of our holiday, we treat ourselves and our hosts to an evening at the portal pizza in oswald, high up on the mountain above bad kleinkirheim in Karen Austria. This is a traditional austrian establishment that also serves delicious pizzas. The menu is right up our families street in every way, from the above mentioned pizzas the house portal pizza is yum to the traditional austrian grillteller, pork, steaks, version, and fish. The salad is also excellent. Final round out with great pancakes or delicious ice cream. The only thing to note is that if you do not smoke, make sure you book a table in the non-smoking section as the bar allows smoking later in the evening. The nonsmoking section is the greatest part of the venue because it has a real atmosphere and can't get smoking because it is not far from the bar. Booking a table is vital several days before busy ski week!.

We stayed for one week and are happy with everything. The cable car is just a minute away, and the restaurant is located on the first floor. Clean and cozy double room, perhaps the best food in Bad Kleinkirchheim and very friendly staff and owners. A lovely place.
