Wonderful big old quirky room in a 400 year old hotel. Good old fashioned Austrian breakfast. The stay at Haus Wartenberg was a highlight of our stay in Salzburg.

The place with history and good vibe. You are comming to the building, where people were living for several hundred of years, that makes you feel enchanted. All details counts the ages, besides you sleep in very comfortable beds with white beddings. For all our family the atmosphere was magnificant and unforgetable. People running this place are very attentive and friendly. Location is 10min by food from the main Salczburg places of interest. This place is worth to visit, who wants to feel the spirit of Mozart era, sure not Ikea era 🙂.

Great Providence to have found this gem of authentic Salzbürger hospitality. Certainly not the usual MacDonalds/Cola/Nobu/FourSeason spit shine polish 'chain'. Was so relaxed here. Felt really welcomed into the environment. Cannot more highly recommend. Very comfortable and clean bedlinen, eco friendly, helpful and kind. Really enjoyed being here.

We only were at this hotel for one night, but it was very comfortable & clean. Hosts were accommodating and friendly. The bed & bedding were very comfortable. Location is close to the old centre & transit. Would definitely return!

Awesome stay. Kids had a great time. Absolutely loved the hotel. Very homely and traditional, old style. However not for travellers who want a modern setting hotel. No elevator if you have big baggage. Parking on street but a safe area. Owner helps you find one. Good breakfast.

The building itself looked very traditionally Austrian, really liked all the wooden beams and decor. It looked very ornate. The room was great, it was very modern but fitted in with the older looking outer building. The bed was very comfy and shower powerful.

Loved it here. Old but extremely charming building. I really felt it to be a unique experience not just another hotel. Fantastic service at breakfast and they really looked after our children's needs.

We're very happy with the stay. We booked the apartment, room 21, which is very spacious. The location of the hotel is good, just ten minutes or so to the old town centre. The breakfast was farely good too. Overall excellent value for money.
