Great location for exploring the heart of the original downtown Manama. The breakfast buffet has good variety. The rooms and common areas are seriously in need of painting and carpet replacement.

Good value for a reasonable price. It is a bit old, but has some atmosphare and the room is comfortable and spacious. It is very central, near the souk of manama, but not noisy. There is a restaurant and room service for food, and staff is very friendly.

Hotel is a bit dated but staff is very helpful. Location is very central in downtown Manama. Very reasonably priced. Had a very good experience. General Manager Mr. Mohammed Saddiqi is very cooperative and attentive to customer. Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 4 great nights. My room was old but clean, and the entire bathroom was recently renovated - it was first-class. The linens were clean and the sheets were crisp! The TV was old but they have HBO. The free in-room WIFI was very good for this part of the world. The free breakfast is good but I missed it one morning and ordered room service. The room service food was excellent and it was cheap by Western standards. There are restaurants nearby and hotels with alcohol bars as well. I considered staying at the nearby Holiday Inn Express because I was a Holiday Inn general Manager for more than 20 years. However, the Oriental Palace was less than half the price of the Holiday Inn. It's a great deal - they changed money for me and served me in every way!

In walking distance to shops, local eateries, and a taxi stand located at the entrance of the souq. The front desk staff were helpful. I noticed there was no "trashy/suspicious" looking people / females hanging around the lobby area. The hotel was quiet. I booked a single room, it was spacious and very clean. The room had a twin bed, wardrobe, desk, tv, central a/c, 2 chairs and coffee table, and a balcony. The furniture was a bit dated but the room was very clean. The bed sheets and linen were also very clean. The bathroom looked newly refurbished. New fixtures, shower and large bathtub, large bathroom space, new sink and large mirror. I ordered room service for breakfast once, dinner twice. The food was great. I had the Arabic Breakfast and it was a feast. I also had the grilled chicken one night and lamb chops the other - well cooked, nice side dishes very tasty and reasonably priced. The Manama souq is in walking distance. There are also local eateries and well known fast food places in walking distance. By taxi, I reached the Grand Mosque in about 20 minutes (from the entrance of the souq). The National Museum is also about 20 minutes away. Overall, the Oriental Palace is reasonably priced for a place to sleep and conveniently located.

Staff are very helpful in all hotel areas. Room was clean but need renovations and some furniture need to be replaced. Roads around the hotel are narrow and require lots of attention while driving.

Vintage *dont expect modern* in decor but overall i would definitely stay there again. I prefer safe, clean affirdable & friendly staff when i stay outside my country.

とても古いです。昭和30年代の感じの古き良きホテルといった感じです。アメニティーは最低限度のものしかありません。ベットがとても小さいかったです。テレビ（映りませんでしたが）、水2本、石鹸、バスタオル1枚、エアコンがありました。ただ、十分でした。朝食はごく普通でした。バスタブがリフォームされていて奇麗だったのでお湯を溜めてゆっくり入ることができました。コスパは良い方だと思います。空港からのバスの乗り場まで徒歩5分です。市場のはずれにあり便利です。近所に24時間スーパーがありました。バスターミナルまでは徒歩15分程かかります。ネットはやや繋がりにくい感じでした。

I liked coziness and cleanliness. I didn't like the location and the parking lot. Too difficult to get to the properly by car as the streets are extremely narrow.
