During the world cup, I remained at this hotel with three of my friends. It is a very pleasant hotel with modest rooms but is cozy and clean. It was exactly the wrong hotel for us, but it should be fantastic for those looking for American style amenities. Breakfast is nice and plentiful. The internet issue another reviewer mentioned is unreliable. They must have had it in the room, or I would have forgotten the lack thereof. There is a lovely pool on the roof, and from there, there are stunning views of the city. They wouldn't call it a business hotel in any way. It's not close to everything a tourist would want to see in salvador, but because it's in a secure location, there's a good taxi service, so if you prefer familiar surroundings, this might be a good choice for you. Instead of visiting a mall with a chain of restaurants, we would have preferred to be closer to the water's edge with all the neighborhood bars.

I stayed in a business flat in Iguatemi for two days in early February 2012. The room is small but clean. There is no complimentary internet access, it costs $10. The bed is only average. Breakfast was tasty, with juices, fruit, and bread. Notes : Close to the beach but close to office buildings and 2 major malls in salvador iguatemi and salvador shopping. If you're looking for a short stay, it's an option near office buildings, some basic cos and the government. If not, there are many other hotels at the same price.
