My wife and I initially stopped on March 25 for a week, and eventually decided to stay 3 weeks on this island. The location is a gem on earth, with no road, beaches, cheap pousadas, and the nicest people in Brazil. We stayed in a pousada, very close to Barry Vento, but we didn't really find the owners and the room nice so decided to leave and met Hilton, the owner. We fell in love with his place. The pousada is literally 50 meters from the grd beach, which is between the busy, trendy, and noisy beach and the rth beach, a postcard beach with white sand. Gd beach is just a sand walk away from restaurants. There is a pleasant and simple fish restaurant on the corner tia lit with a very funny and nice owner and the fish is really fresh and the moqueca amazing. The room is very simple and spacious, we stayed on the ground floor with a nice balcony, and the rooms on the first floor are bigger and have a nice balcony. Breakfast is very good and big enough for the size of the pousada. The owner is very helpful and I will never appreciate hilton and his family enough for making us feel so welcome. I'll definitely be back again on Monday, but more importantly to Barry
