I arrived at this place uninformed about where to go. I saw some simple pousadas, but since I travel frequently, it was too simple. When I saw coisa e tao around the corner, I went in and checked the rooms and their surroundings. It was not a pousada, it was more of a high-end hotel. The rooms are all stylish and well-furnished. It's immaculate and neat. The garden is lovely, and the people who work there or run the hotel are really nice. Breakfast was excellent. Better than a 5-star hotel. It is also not far from the placa, beach, or city center. Just 200 to 300 meters. Because the city center can be noisy, it is much better. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I'm sure I'll return. The place was so comfortable. Apparently, the owner had other people running the pousada and had recently taken over as it was in horrible shape. I met the proprietors who were running it for a few nights in August 2013. The owners appeared to have previously taken over because the pousada was in disarray. Despite some concerns, the hotel was very pleasing to me. But given that the owner had only been running the property for the past month, these may be considered a rip-off problem. Despite being very small and quickly filling, the employees parking lot is friendly and helpful. The gardens are lovely, and the pool is kept immaculately clean. It is in a prime location just outside the main street with pubs and restaurants. Cons One night, when I returned to the room, I couldn't locate the key to work. I had been battling for some time, and there was no sign of security or a caregiver. I have to admit that I had some anxiety. I was informed that they didn't have a card reader and I had to pay in cash when I went to pay. If I had known sooner, I could have gotten this ahead of time. We had to pay the following week by bank transfer because the ATM in town that allowed me to use my foreign card to work ran out of cash the day we checked out. Not very comfortable. lots

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. My husband and I drove my parents to the arrival, and a lot of places were booked, but we were able to secure 2 rooms here that can accommodate four people in each. The rooms were large, tastefully conceived, and had a clean, fresh look. AC split. Breakfast was delicious and the personnel were extremely friendly, they were all willing to make sure we were pleased. After 22 th, they had a guard who kept my father company when he smoked, even though my dad doesn't speak Portuguese.
