This place is very nice and located on the beach, though it's a bit remote at night if you want to go downtown, but it's a pleasant walk. The afternoon coffee was special for us. It's not every place that does this, and it makes a nice difference. We found two cockroaches, maybe they should put some poison around.

After doing a lot of research, I made the decision to stay here because I wanted to be somewhere a bit tranquil and opulent. Many restaurants were closed during the high season, and there was a lot of rain. However, the pousada had a lovely, roomy communal space, and each room had its own covered balcony, so this wasn't too much of a problem. The pousada is across from a beautiful breach restaurant which is across the street from one of the major beaches. I liked the serene setting despite the small 10 minute walk into the town. Itacare is a chilled surfer-style town with few hanging rooms. But the large beds are extremely comfortable. The staff is lovely and extremely helpful, but they speak little to no English, making it easy for me to practice my Portuguese. Breakfast and afternoon tea yes, afternoon tea! Were excellent. Tapioca that is freshly made each morning in a variety of flavours, which they will happily bring. And French pastries and tarts dont appear out of place. A tiny, relaxing pool in front was ideal for a quick morning swim. I cherished my stay here and would undoubtedly stay here again when I return to Itacare in high season.

I recommend this hotel for any short or long stay! Everyone was very helpful. Room was perfect, and bathroom was also perfect. I only missed a mosquito net! The price was very competitive for quality. There is also a good breakfast and the team is very friendly.

The Villa Mama is a contemporary pousada inn in an vaguely Polynesian style on Concha beach, just outside of the city center. It is perfectly situated overlooking the beach. You immediately feel at ease with it's calm atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and eager to please. The girls at the desk are well informed and will provide excellent advice on how to enjoy your time at Italia. The rooms are small to very small, but all have private verandahs, lovely beds, and a good shower. There are a wide selection of breakfast buffets, and afternoon tea is a joy after a day in the sun. Not a de for Villa Mama!.

One of the best hotels in itacare. The location was perfect, the staff is really friendly, professional, and helpful, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. All aspects of this pousada were perfect. You will not regret staying here while in beautiful Itaca
