I would not spend 385 reais for a single room, but the entire experience was enjoyable. I stayed in room 1706 and have no problems at all. It was comfortable and spotless. The view from the Sao Paulo Hotel was excellent and the meals were adequate. However, it is very sad that some people are living outside on the streets just in front of the entrance. They really need help.

Basic Mirage hotel. The front desk employees are kind and accommodating. During my stay, the hotel seems to have large groups of athletes. There were both pro volleyball teams and basketball teams staying there. I was initially placed on a floor with a team and it was extremely noisy as young adult players blamed music and yelled at each other in the corridors There is very little noise insulation, but when I spoke to the front desk, they graciously moved me to a quieter floor. The first room I was in was clean, however, the bathroom had pink mold and the shower did not drain properly. The room I was moved to was very clean, and the bathroom on the with floor had no issues. I didn't find the street noise to be a problem, and the hotel felt safe as a single female traveler. Breakfast and lunch were fine, and the location was good for business, with several restaurants and shops nearby.

This place is not suitable for luxury seekers. Although located near the main drag, close to two metro stations, and near the downtown area, it has a good position, on a huge street with a good location and excellent traffic and noise reduction. Breakfast choices at the onsite eatery are adequate. I just missed Expresso Coffee, sorry, I'm Italian! Afterward, Expresso Coffee is also available in affordable lunch options. The juice choices are often lower than those you would anticipate in Brazil, and a few of the items on the list are currently unavailable.

The hotel is excellent. It has basic, good rooms, room service, and breakfast. Don't think it's a trip hotel because it's not too big or designed as a travel family hotel, but it's a really good hotel that breaks the leg when you need a place to stay that's comfortable. The reception was good at the front desk and there is a large space to use and taxis arrive. The wifi is slow and the signal is very strong but slow perhaps because many people are connected. It is something that needs to be fixed. There is air conditioning in the room, hot water in the shower, hairdryer in the bathroom, comfy beds, fridge minibar in the room. Final score 4, 5.
