The Hotel Tanne is a remarkable escape. The room was gorgeous, with beautiful views, and positioned within a breathtaking courtyard. The food was authentic and delicious. But the most striking aspect is the staff. Our first visit to Bansko, with very rudimentary Bulgarian language skills, the staff nevertheless met our every question and need with a smile and a helpful answer. This place deserves more stars than I am allowed to give.

We (three adults) stayed in a two-storey mezzanine room and it was the perfect accommodation for our ski holiday. There was plenty of space both upstairs and downstairs with a sofa that pulled into a sofa bed, bathroom, a separate toilet and wardrobes downstairs and upstairs too. We had a balcony with amazing views of the mountains. The decor of the room and whole hotel is lovely, very cozy and feels very ski-esk. Breakfast was included too which includes cold and hot food. The selection was quite random, but we all enjoyed it every morning. The spa / pool area is lovely and clean. You could spend a good few hours relaxing in there. The location is perfect. The hotel is just located off the main street with bars and restaurants. 5 minute walk to the gondola too. The only cons really were that we weren’t sure which room we actually booked as this wasn’t very clear when booking. I managed to get in touch with the hotel and they confirmed this for us. Also there’s no kettle in the room, we bought our own travel one. 100% recommend for a ski holiday.

Tanne Hotel was amazing! We got the suite, 2 floors with 2 bathrooms. It was amazing, honestly enjoyed every minute. The breakfast was great! we asked for an omelet every day and they made it with a smile for us. breakfast was great and the spa was amazing! the Jacuzzi was very hot with different kinds of water pressure in it. Was so good! Thank you very much!

We arrived in the very early hours in the morning. We found the rooms clean and warm. Toiletries were supplied as was a clean bath robe and new slippers. The meals were freshly prepared and hot good choice in the breakfast and dining room. The spa area was very good. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend

This hotel was a fabulous find. The staff are friendly, the spa with pool, heated jacuzzi, sauna and steam room is very welcome after a day in the snow and the beds are super comfortable. Breakfast is ok. If you are looking for a full English every morning it’s not the place for you, but there is enough choice to suit everyone. It’s close to the town, but far enough away not to hear the nightclubs. The heating in the hotel seems to be set to maximum, so you may need to turn your radiator down. The reception area has a beautiful log fire where it would be nice to enjoy a drink if they opened the bar more often. The on-site restaurant is very very good and incredibly cheap too. One thing where the hotel could improve is in it’s towel and toiletry lottery. Will they change the towels? What will you get? One bath towel and six hand towels? Or nothing new? Will they leave more shower gel or shampoo or not? Thankfully, the reception staff can usually correct any errors. If you want a kettle for your room, you’ll need to ask at reception and google translate often helps with this. Maybe taking a travel kettle and mugs might be a better idea. We will be staying here the next time we are in Bansko. Hotel Tanne is a great little place.

Tanne was lovely and welcoming. Toni the waiter in the restaurant could speak a few words of Irish and really made us feel at home with great service and good quality fresh food. We were undecided in advance if we should go half board or not, but we should have as in the end are there almost every night (our two boys are age 7 and 4). Very near the ski lift and Svet on reception gave us a a good tip of where to rent skis. Room was very big and cleaned every day and we all enjoyed the pool and sauna/steam room, even if pool water was a tad chilly for the adults! They even prepared us an early breakfast for the day we departed very early. I would thoroughly recommend and definitely go back.

We stayed for a summer weekend and loved it. Our room was just right. We had our breakfast on the deck with a view of the mountain. The pool and spa were nice with the outdoor area for sunbathing. Overall great quality experience!

Tanne is built like a traditional ski cabin but on a big scale, we enjoyed our stay , especially sitting next to the fireplace and taking long hot bathes, highly recommended, 8-9 min walk to the lift and very close to the city center, the room was nice, big and clean (TV didn't work but that's a good thing on a vacation) breakfast was nice and accommodating

We stayed 7 nights at the Tanne over Christmas. We loved it. We were in the apartment with a fireplace. There was plenty of room for us and our children and had a beautiful view of the snow-capped mountains. It was convenient as we were a 5 minute walk to the gondola or onto the main street. The people who worked at the front desk and the restaurants were incredibly friendly and helpful with whatever we needed.

We stayed for two nights at the end of our skiing holiday as we had to move out of our apartment. The hotel is lovely, old style traditional décor. Lovely big fire in the foyer, very welcoming. Staff were pleasant and friendly and spoke good English. The pool sauna and steamroom was very good, and the robes in our rooms were an added bonus.
