Because the hotel is in the middle of everything and has a discount, I used to think that it is the best place to stay in the capital. But I had to go several times and on each subsequent visit, I found something new to irritate me. The rooms are fairly clean but no WiFi is available except for the room right next to the reception. And, they say it has to be, they even provide you with a piece of paper with a password. But the wifi is never in range. No heaters or extra blankets. And the walls are paperthin, so I was freaking during my visits in October, when the central heating was out. I had to sleep with my coat and hat on. One time, they put me in a room with a broken lock on the door. So I had to sleep with the room not being closedfor the record, this was the door facing the street, so everyone could walk in anytime. Needless to say I could rest a little that night. And last but not least, the housekeeper doesn't care if you're out or not, she will do everything in her power to rush in, even if you shout occupied.

The hotel's proximity to the heart of Sofia is probably its greatest plus. The hotel's check-in process was quite delayed and looked unorganized. There was paperwork all over the office, and we had to be asked where to go because there was no signage of where the rooms were located. When given the keys, we should have received this information. We also had to ask for the wifi code, which was almost impossible to use and extremely slow. I had reserved one room, but ended up with three. The bed was old and not particularly cozy. The light in the hallway was not working, the bathroom sink had a big crack running through it, the tap handle had also broken off its fixing, and we did not even have a duvet! Just a blanket and a blanket that we had to make up ourselves. It was quite simple. On the plus side, I would say that the receptionist was very helpful when the car was clamped outside while we were checking in and helped contact the clamping company to come and remove it. This was very much appreciated and had turned the ugly experience earlier. Hotel needs much work and renovation. We got a higher-quality room than this week. Breakfast consisted of a slice of bread, a piece of meat, and a piece of cheese. It was disappointing and I won't return here.

The rooms are spacious, but the mattresses are by far the most uncomfortable, I have ever slept in and the so announced free wifi in the rooms doesn't work outside of the reception area. The room is not very clean, I had to lock my luggage overtime I left the hotel and the surrounding area is not the best one during the night. The only advantage could be the proximity to the medical university, maybe 200300 meters, and the fact that the receptionist is friendly and competent to speak several languages, such as English and German. For 3035 euros, this place is far too expensive for bulgarian standards and the absolute logo for europeans.
