In transit for 3 days. I rented a big room with a nice balcony for a good price. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly. Location is very good, right near riverside. The hotel restaurant had good food at a good price so I mostly ate there. I recommend this guest house for an affordable option with a great location and will likely return.

We loved our stay at the Velkommen. We were actually booked at another location and decided to move over here. Lovely family runs this hotel. The owner gave us some fantastic recommendations for taking the ferry ($0.25 round trip per person) just across the Mekong for a adventurous walk. And the most delicious Indian Restaurant recommendation as well. We sat out front enjoying our coffee and watching street life. Many markets close by to buy water and essentials. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

I live just outside Phnom Penh and have stayed here on numerous occasions when I need to be somewhere more central. Apart from its convenient location near the Riverside I really appreciate the consistent and reliable service offered. Rooms are clean and are equipped with all the amenities required. Management and staff are friendly and helpful creating a safe and relaxed atmosphere. Overall it is excellent value for money and is why I keep coming back.

The hotel location is just around the corner from the river. The room was basic and adequate. Wi-Fi signal was poor and spotty, but may have been just my room. The staff are excellent and helpful. They serve a basic breakfast, pizza (surprisingly tasty), drinks. The front doors close at 10pm but there's someone in the lobby to let you in. Close to restaurants and night life. Phnom Penh is a busy city so street is usually busy and noisey. There's a street market a block away. If that's your thing it's great. Or if like moi, just walk the other way.

Vi var to som reiste sammen til Phnom Penh og bodde på Velkommen Guesthouse. Rommet var flott for oss to unge jenter som reiste alene. Rommet hadde det man måtte trenge og var akkurat passe størrelse. Varmt vann i dusjen og både vifte og aircondition på rommet. Rimelige og gode frokostutvalg. Hotellet var nært flere severdigheter og det var butikker, restauranter og tuk-tuker rett utenfor. Vennlig personale, og den norske eieren var veldig hyggelig og hadde svar og tips til alt vi lurte på!

Enjoyable stay. Good value for a great location. Bit quieter street then some of the more busy areas of Phnom Penh. Convienently located for the palace and museum and promenade along the river. Could walk to the hotel from where the bus from Battambang dropped us off. Front desk staff was interesting to talk to and had his own tuk tuk to take you further afield. Would stay here again.

I stayed at the owner's sister hotel in Siem Reap for 4 days and stayed at this Velkommen hotel months before aND after staying at a few other Phnom Penh hotels I would even think of staying at another hotel ever. It's super clean, right near the riverwalk, quiet at night and managed extremely well. Owner even reached out to warn they are filling up and he got us rooms quickly reserved. Great value for a hotel but a few people can share a room to keep it at hostel prices but it's a nice quiet, friendly vibe that makes this place so special. Very safe as well!

We stayed in the triple room which was great for a family (2 adults 5 children). The beds were comfortable. The from was clean. Facilities were nice. Location is near the river. There are a lot of guesthouses in the vicinity. This is one of the better ones. My wife accidentally left here phone in the room. The owner delivered it to the airport for a small fee.

Very well situated. Clean and good matrasses. Nice bathroom. Lovely staff. The only little downside is that the room has no natural light but not that annoying for a short stay.
