The room was very clean, quiet, I actually liked the art, and the bed was comfortable. One negative is the couch is so uncomfortable that I wouldn't even sit on it. Terrible piece of furniture. Otherwise it was a good stay and I would give it one star less than excellent. I think I made a mistake on the first question

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and patient. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I’m a very picky person when it comes to cleanliness of the rooms and overall environment, this is the hotel that I will keep going back.

Friendly staff upon arrival and throughout our stay made us feel welcome. Beautiful decor throughout; and our room was large with windows galore facing the beautiful harbour - exactly what I booked. This is definitely my Nanaimo hotel!

Excellent location right next to the harbour, just about 15 minute drive to popular spots like Neck Point Park and Pipers Lagoon Park. The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk staff were helpful even though I arrived a little earlier than the official check-in time. Parking was in reserved spots within a public parkade, but the hotel had its own dedicated elevator, and there were plenty of parking spaces set aside for hotel guests. The room was clean, and the AC kept it cool enough to handle the hot summer days. The ocean view from the room was a nice touch.

I can’t say enough about how great everything was. Staff, room updates, restaurant all fantastic. Unfortunately our car window was smashed with a rock overnight in the hotel suggested lot. So beware of that lot.

Very nice location, friendly staff, clean and beautiful rooms with lovely views. Pet friendly! Amenities could be better. One elevator was under maintenance and it was a bit of a wait during our stay but the staff was very helpful in that regards and made our stay very pleasant. Highly recommended!

Our king bed room was large, nicely decorated with a small balcony and a view of the Harbour. Staff were friendly, polite and always ready to help if needed. Breakfast was fabulous with large amounts of delicious food. The wait staff were excellent. We found the bar very busy the one time we went there and had to wait quite a while to be served a drink… too many guests, not enough servers! Also, one of the elevators did not work, which made for some long wait times.. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will certainly return the next time we visit Nanamio.
