Simple and clear instructions, we got assigned a suite in a high rise building in the heart of down town, with all the amenities as expected. There is no on-site reception, but instructions are sufficient, and everything was very smooth. The support team was responsive and quick via SMS and emails. Given the reasonable prices, the great suites and all the amenities, I would highly recommend!

The fire alarm went off around 3:00 a.m., and guests had to walk down 38 flights of stairs only to find out it was a false alarm. What was most frustrating was that there was no announcement or update from the staff about what was happening. To make matters worse, while walking down the stairs, I noticed a bed partially blocking the staircase on the 21st floor, which was pretty concerning during an emergency evacuation. I was also disappointed by how my early checkout request was handled. Due to an unexpected family emergency, I needed to leave before the end of my stay and reached out to ask if anything could be done for the unused night. The response was simply that they could not accommodate the request. Between the lack of communication during the alarm, the obstruction in the stairwell, and the handling of my family emergency, this was not the experience I expected.

Extremely misleading listing. Located very close to a homeless shelter with the same name. On google, the "hotel" that is listed actually is a homeless shelter. It's very strange that they are using the same name as this shelter, especially since it's so close. WHY DONT THEY CHANGE THE NAME?! I think that would help a lot. Anyways, when we arrived in toronto and showed up at the address on google, there were a few homeless people outside that told us people had been coming to the location all week, and the security guard there was like "sorry, you guys got scammed, this isn't a hotel". It was a really bad situation, and we ended booking a different hotel because the whole situation felt very shady. It seems that the listing is run kinda like an unofficial airbnb where you need to call in advance just meet some random person in the lobby of a residential building and they give you an FOB. (We looked at reviews for the listed address and they are even worse. like, a 1 star rating on google, lots of complaints about pretty much anything you can imagine. ) There is no front desk or hotel services. They also send a DM on hotels.com asking for images of your ID, and wrote in a way that sounds very much like some scam or phishing attempts. It looks like they have added a bunch of extra details on the listing page that weren't there when we booked, but either way doesn't feel like a legit hotel.

This was an aweful experience. I recommend never using this property. They promote that the place you are staying is called Econo Suite, but that is a lie, it’s called The Grupa Group. Since they did not send us info on the actual address until the next day we went to the hotel in the same street with the name as promoted. This hotel turned out to be a homeless shelter! Needless to say we had to get another hotel and it’s been difficult to get our money back

This hotel no longer exists. The property has been converted into a homeless shelter. Do not book. You will be charged for a stay that you cannot redeem and Hotels.com has, at least in my case, refused to refund the money for the stay. Security guards at the property provide the attached information to folks who have accidentally booked here.

THE ADDRESS ON EXPEDIA IS WRONG. As a business owner I would think that having the correct address for your place online is an important aspect to ensuring your customers are safe. The address listed on Expedia with which we booked leads us to an old Econo lodge which has been transformed into a MENS SHELTER. How embarrassing for us as we try to enter the building, tired and disheveled from travelling only to be met with a security guard informing us that we are trying to enter a men’s shelter. Then I had to phone the contact number and he was trying to say I should have gotten an email with check in instructions which I did not receive. After much back and forth he agreed to send me the email after confirming I in fact did not have one listing any sort of instructions. The place was fine. Then unfortunately there was a fire alarm, and there was no emergency directions listed anywhere in the apartment and we exited the building only to find out you don’t have to (we aren’t from a big city so we were unsure how this works), regardless I feel like there should have been emergency exit route maps listed in the apartment somewhere if you’re listing it like a hotel room.

This isn’t a hotel. It’s a property management company pretending to be a hotel - they rent out various condo units in the city at different addresses. You are not allowed to call security at the condo buildings if you have safety concerns during your stay.
