The apartment is cozy and functionally furnished. Carol welcomed us very warmly, making us feel right at home. The location is ideal for exploring the town on foot or by bike. Hyder and the Salmon Glacier are quickly accessible by car. Thank you very much!

My wife and I just spent 3 nights at Austria House and we couldn't be more pleased. The cabin was very comfortable, fully equipped with everything you need, just bring food. Eclectic and charming decor throughout. The hosts Angelica and Martin went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a relaxing one.

This place has a special place, it is so special and I miss it even as we leave. Especially for Angelina and Martin, for the hospitality is really good, and the folks here are very kind. I really hope to go back there someday.

We stayed in a cabin for two nights on our road trip. The owner gave us a very warm greeting and both his wife and I were very helpful during our stay. The cabin had an african theme, was unusual, very comfortable, and well equipped, and made a nice change from a standard motel room. There is a netted area in the garden where you can sit and drink without being bothered by mosquitoes. The views from the property are incredible. A few minutes drive away, there is a local store where you can buy supplies. We went into hyper alaska passport needed for return and drove to salmon glacier, it was stunning.

Definitely will come back if I can find a suitable place to stay, this place is very nice. Very clean, well-organized and well maintained. It's an excellent value for the money. If you appreciate good homemade food and an abundance of options, go for a breakfast of 10 dollars! Excellent couple for exploring the glaciers and salmon spawning.

We stayed in the African room at this be and it's a very quirky and funky place to stay. Small and compact it is very austrian in decor the owner's home. The owners are friendly and welcoming. There are bicycles available for use as well as the barbecue. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that aspect of this accommodation. The only thing that was slightly negative was the slight musty smell in the room but I'm sure that could easily be fixed.

In a small, separate building away from the main house. Managed by a friendly Austrian man. Find animal skulls on the walls, the biggest above the commode, which I found creepy, my husband thought they were a bit cool. The existing floor was tile, broken, chipped, and had holes in it, covered by throw rugs. This left the floor uneven which was a trip hazard for a 70-year-old couple who needed to go to the bathroom several times a night. I will not stay here again in the future.
