The hosts were amazing. The rooms were unique clean and updated. We got gifts upon arrival. The breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect. Weekend nightlife can get pretty rowdy outside but when the windows were closed the noise was minimal. This is one of the coolest places I’ve been to.

When we arrived with our 4 pieces of luggage (we were at the end of a long trip), we were dismayed to see the steep steps into the lobby. Our worries were put to rest when the staff immediately stepped in to get our luggage up the stairs. They also quickly stowed our bags in a secure room (we were there several hours before check in), and took our number to text us when our room was available. A very smooth process!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The rooms are nicely renovated with unique decor made. It made me feel like we were staying in a new age version of a 1920s boutique hotel. A bit of noise from outside, but it was expected considering this is in the heart of downtown. They provide Skoah brand toiletries in the room which I absolutely loved and they smelt amazing. I definitely would stay at this hotel again.

I loved everything about Hotel Belmont. The room was so clean, the breakfast was SUPER GOOD and the staff were all so helpful and so nice. The breakfast is a really good buffet style setup in the pub attached to the hotel. The room was just what we needed and you can cast videos from your phone to the tv if you want to watch something that way. The location is close to lots of stuff, a short walk to the waterfront and shopping and restaurants. I’d definitely happily stay here again!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well-placed for walking to several of the main attractions in Vancouver including the downtown. Our booking included a very good breakfast at the next-door bar. We also liked the choice of decor at the hotel.......carpets, wallpapers and curtains. Recommended!

Even though my check in was delayed, I had a pleasant experience with the hotel. Staffs were courteous and welcoming. Room was clean and tidy. Security of the hotel was excellent.

It would have helped if the front desk knew what the charge was in the parking lot next door. We thought $35.00 a night was high for the hotel parking that was a block away. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

I’m giving Hotel Belmont 5 stars because the hotel itself was lovely and the check in staff was very attentive. The room was clean, comfortable and thoughtful. That all said, here are a few tips that will insure a 5 star stay. Tip #1: don’t arrive on a Saturday night at midnight, like I did with my 14 year old son. And if you do, (Tip #2) make sure to tell your Uber to drop you off right in front of the hotel door on Nelson street. Not around the corner on Granville. Otherwise you’ll be dodging the drunk, sketchy night life. Tip #3: Close your bathroom door tightly. The bathroom windows are not soundproof, but the bedroom windows and bathroom door are (or mostly). Tip #4 - Always take a street parallel to Granville whenever walking home. We liked Richards (through Yaletown) or Hornby when on the North side. Granville is a sketchy walk any time of day. Tip #5: When you leave the hotel always take a right toward Yaletown. Nero Belgian Waffle, “Never a bad day” diner, Nesters Market all are amazing. Or Burger Crush (on Nelson past Granville) Overall the location was quite ideal if you walk the right way. Yaletown felt very safe. The Pacific Center mall (underground), Robson, the Hornby St Aquabus Ferry – all w/in a short walk. I liked the boutique, funky hotel vibe. You are paying for the central location. I wish they had free water rather than charging extra for the little cartons in the room, but Nestors on the corner was the perfect alternative.
