After a day of traveling we arrived earlier than the check-in. While the room was not ready yet the staff gave us a call to let us know when it was (a couple of hours early let us get refreshed). Our room was clean and the view was every bit worth it. The beds however appear to have something under the sheets that felt a little weird every time we moved our positions (most likely some kind of mattress protection). We had our own car which allowed us a little more freedom to check out the area. Where the hotel is situated, it's at the end of Banff. Making it kind of quieter (which we enjoyed). They did offer a shuttle into town for shopping and dining but it was on a scheduled route.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Canoe. The property itself is beautiful, with incredible views and relaxing hot tubs that made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The thoughtful touches really stood out—complimentary coffee was appreciated each morning, and the included bus passes were incredibly convenient for getting around without worrying about parking. Sudden Sally, the onsite restaurant, was another highlight. Their happy hour was the best we found in town, and the bakery items were outstanding. The cinnamon bun is somehow even better than it looks and is a must-try! Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Hotel Canoe to anyone visiting the area.

Everything is just perfect, the sofabed my daughter described as the best ever lol..., full kitchen, bedding , bathroom ,Everything just clean and well organized, the café in the lobby offer variety of bakery selections and great probably the best coffee in town.

This hotel was lovely and you could tell it was quite new. The rooftop hot tubs, fire pit and sauna was the highlight. The hotel offers bus tickets for the duration of your stay which was nice as it’s not too far to walk to downtown but when the weather was bad it was so easy to just jump on the bus. Breakfast in the hotel was lovely, we did grab pastries from the take out side of the restaurant one day which were disappointing as they didn’t taste fresh at all.

Location is a bit of a walk from downtown but we didn't mind the 15 minute stroll. Property is well maintained and even got to see a deer on the property. Alternatively there's a Roam bus stop right across the street for those who choose not to walk to downtown.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We were traveling with two other couples and the staff put us close to each other which we appreciated. We took advantage of the hot tubs with the mountain views a couple of times - wonderful! We ate breakfast, enjoyed happy hour and even later night drinks at the restaurant in the lobby. Food was very good and not your average, run-of-the-mill menu but elevated and unique. We liked the fact that we were at the end of Banff Avenue, essentially at the beginning of town, which provided for a more tranquil experience than if we were in the midst of everything. Everyone we traveled with had nothing but compliments for Hotel Canoe and Suites. Would stay there again and highly recommend you stay there when you're in Banff!!

We loved staying here on our quick visit to Banff. The hotel itself was very pretty, and the room was very nice. We are a bit disappointed that the shower amenities were empty, so we had to use our own that we brought. We did notify the front desk. But otherwise it was a nice stay. The rooftop hot tub pools were a nice, relaxing part of our stay. Love that the parking was easy, as Banff parking can get difficult sometimes. Highly recommend.

Nice modern hotel on the outskirts of Banff, split into 3 buildings with interconnecting corridors. Both bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The bedroom features a gas fire and a small kitchen area with sink, kettle, microwave and fridge. Beside the lobby is the Sudden Sally restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. You can also buy pastries, sandwiches and drinks to take away. It is an approximately 0.75 mile walk to the main shopping area in Downtown Banff, but the hotel provided passes for the local Roam transport buses. These enable you travel around the town and out to attractions like Sulphur Mountain Gondola, Cave & Basin and the Banff Springs Hotel. The only minor issue with the room was that the air-conditioning fan was noisy. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel is very clean and modern. Lobby is very cool with three canoes hanging from the ceiling. Three bedroom condo is excellent with lots of room and very quiet. Restaurant has delicious food; cafe has great coffee and freshly baked goods.

A wonderful property, staff, and stay. This hotel has big, spacious rooms, in-room pour-over coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and a connector between all the buildings to quickly get to the lobby or hot pools. Their hot pools are more well equipped and more relaxing than the hot springs. To top it all off, there is a legitimate coffee shop on site that opens at 6:30am. This place is amazing.
