This place is great. The people that work here are the best. Location is close enough to St John's to make it a $9 Uber ride to the downtown, but not so close that you get party traffic or much of any traffic. Met such great and varied people each morning for breakfast The Bell Island room wasn't the most expensive but it was the best. Direct access from where you park in the back. Patio outside your patio doors which is pretty much where you apartment sized kitchen and living room are. Two story room with your bedroom on the second floor which is where the bathroom along with bathroom and ptwo person tub. The owner is super accommodating (I think it was the owner... lady with glasses). I felt the staff treated us like family where they go out of their way to make sure you feel like you have everything you need and can do what you want, but then again this is Newfoundland where a local at a bar would give you someplace to stay if you were stuck. This is the culture Canada and North America started with but forgot. Newfoundland never forgot. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer. I'm glad we booked this place as our book ends for 3 nights on each end because you couldn't get a better welcome or departure experience. If you rented a car, just a short distance in the opposite direction of the town center are the typical city conveniences like groceries, drug store, dollar store, etc. which you'll never get in downtown St John's.

Lovely stay at Leaside Manor! Staff were friendly and super helpful. Room was clean, nicely decorated with very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent - I highly recommend staying here if you are in St Johns!

We’re repeat guests and always choose Leaside! Bonavista and Trinity are our favourite suites because we love having direct outdoor access from the room. Breakfast is always delicious, and the staff have consistently gone above and beyond to accommodate my spouse’s celiac disease. Everyone is friendly, the area is peaceful, and we always enjoy our stay!

Spectacular breakfast delivered to your door, eggs benny would rival that of a top tier breakfast spot. Omelette was delicious as well, really looked forward to being surprised with whatever was on the menu for the morning feed. Hot tub is a nice thing to have after exploring on foot all day. Room had so much character and had way more space than we needed, having only used the fridge for dinner leftovers. Super close to a bus stop, which was handy as the airport ran out of rental cars somehow. Might suggest some clear identification for the hot tub jet switch, as it scared the crap out of my wife a couple times. Staff was always happy to help, checking in and out was seamless, as it should be. Would definitely reccommend leaside manor to anyone looking for something authentic and rustic for their stay in st johns

Stayed at Leaside Manor in the Argentina Suite with my best friend and had such a lovely experience. The suite was cozy, beautifully decorated, and felt like the perfect little escape. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well thought out, with nice touches that made the stay feel extra special. The location is quiet but still close to everything in St. John’s. Would absolutely stay here again; highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Staff were super friendly and very helpful. The home is very well maintained and poses all of the charm you would hope for in a manor that welcomes guests. I’m not a huge “inn” or “B&B” guy, but I would stay here again without hesitation. The room was private and well attributed to its theme. We stayed in the Port Royal Suite. The jetted tub, dim lights and candles were truly romantic and made our anniversary trip truly special.
