"Traditional" style hotel (built in the early 1900's), well located in the City Centre and about 10-15 mins walk from the Waterfront area. 5-10 mins walk from the Skytrain stations at City Centre (Airport line) or Granville (Expo Line), plus close to several major bus/trolleybus routes. A pleasant change to find that the rooms were serviced (and bed made) each day as well, something that a lot of places haven't bothered with in the past 5 or so years. Will certainly look at staying there again on future trips to Vancouver. Didn't sample any of the associated eating/drinking establishments during my stay though, but discount vouchers were provided for those on checking in.

The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient for walking around, but we did take an Uber a few times to get further afield. The room was comfortable and had all we needed. The onsite lounge was great for late night returns, plus the liquor store next door was perfect for grabbing wine before the cruise.

This was our second stay at the Moda following a 29 day vacation starting and ending in Vancouver. We were not disappointed. A very spacious room, comfortable bed, quiet and undisturbed sleep and the location is perfect for getting around downtown Vancouver. The IVA restaurant is a little pricey, but the food and service are exceptional. Breakfast is a plentiful and the sports bar a busy energetic buzzing venue. Yes a little tired in places, but all in all, highly recommended.

Easy five stars from me. Everybody was so helpful. Nice bar that served breakfast. I never got to the restaurant next door, but heard very good things about it. Competitively priced. Ideal location. I’ve got to foot stomp the people that worked there. They were all amazing. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location, and a hotel with lots of character. Staff were helpful, courteous, prompt. Room was large, bed comfortable. Couple things in the room needed some fix-up (for instance, couldn't turn the switch on the bedside lamp--had to unplug it to turn it off), and it helps if you don't mind doing some stairs (elevator is slow and small). But maybe that's all part of the charm of the place. I'll be back.

The room was minimalist but beautiful. The main drawback was the layout: our room was several hundred yards from the front desk, so any request required deciding whether it was worth the long walk. The refrigerator did not work; maintenance acknowledged the issue and said it would be replaced but never did. Front desk staff were polite but not particularly helpful, while the corridor staff were exceptional. The canteen/gift shop was overpriced and had a limited selection. We dined at the restaurant, which was excellent—I highly recommend it. The location is also very central. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, I would return to this hotel.
