This is an older building, however it had all we needed. It was clean and everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The a/c worked well. Lighting was dim, but with the curtains open in the day, it was fine. We were out nearly all of the days we stayed but it was delightful to come back to a QUITE, comfortable room to rest and enjoy the end of the day. The staff was wonderful. Very helpful in anything we asked. Thank you Oakes Hotel for our comfortable stay.

Check-in was a bit slow but over all everything was excellent. Staff were friendly and courteous. We were in room 1121 which had a stunning view of both falls. I would happily stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend it.

Overall it was a good stay. However, it was rather inconvenient that coffee/tea and hot water facilities are not in each room. It would have been better as tourists are already tired from their day of exploring the falls and when unwinding in the respective rooms would like to have a cup of hot tea but have to now come downstairs to get some hot tea. Also, it would have been great if there was complimentary parking for your guests - covered parking if possible. It was a really wet and raining day when we arrived and have had to take our overnight bags and walk in the rain to get to the hotel. The Observation Deck was great and it was wonderful to see Niagara Falls from it. A lovely sight that will forever remain in our memories of this trip to the Falls!

The young lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. While I didn't get her name she is an asset to the hotel. The room was clean and inviting. I would stay there again if I were in the area.

We booked at Oakes upon arrival to find out they had issues w-rooms & didn’t have my phone # to alert us. They upgraded us to Hilton win walking distance a-luggage. The upgrade was a very nice room w-jacuzzi tub overlooking Niagara Falls. We had booked similar room at Oakes. Our room at Hilton was very nice for some reason the carpeting was soaked halfway into room. I called front desk said they would send maintenance it remained wet happy we brought slip on sandals. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the location.

There is not breakfast served daily. The hotel does not have a restaurant/ kitchen. We had a premium falls view two bedroom suite. The views were spectacular! One of the four windows was pretty dirty and made it hard to see out it. It would have been nice if both bedrooms had the view and the same sized beds.The Bedrooms are open concept with no doors. The hotel was clean and in a great location. It’s about a 15 min walk to Clifton hill and a short 10 min walk to the falls. I would definitely stay here again. Parking is kind of crazy at $50 a night.
