We had a wonderful 3 nights at this motel! From check in to check out, it was a great experience… the grounds are lovely, the property backs right onto the beach! Our room was fantastic, lots of space for us (2 adults and a teen)… only complaint was noise from the people above us but we popped on the a/c fan and it mostly drowned it out. The location was great, we were able to walk around and enjoyed the proximity to the boardwalk. Highly recommend!

Beautiful area, clean, access to beach, lots of picnic tables and 2 gazebo, walking distance to sand castle event. Kids can play at the backyard, paddle board in the afternoon. Loved it.

We have stayed at Sea Edge on and off for 15 years - the location just can't be beat - beach, sunset, cruise ships, ocean, boardwalk, park, sandcastle competition, bands in park, fireworks, BBQ's, Tuesday street market, ice cream truck, wood fired pizza truck, etc. - even free mini golf. The recent renovations were overdue, and are very comfortable and well designed - great look and feel. Ground floor rooms opening to the ocean front grounds are the best choice, although they do come with "noise" from the suite over. Perhaps the thing we love the most is how social Sea Edge is - everyone is friendly and chatty and hospitable, and many have been staying there for over 25 years. The new community room with indoor and outdoor lounge and dining, spaces, big screen tv, games, putting, fireplaces, pool table, bbq's, etc. adds to this social ambience (if you so choose). There is even a great coffee machine with free hot chocolate through to espresso - which saves the 10 minute drive the Starbucks. We miss the connection / history with the previous owner / family, but the new operators are superb - very friendly, very accommodating, very helpful, very hospitable - they are young, but "on point". We love Sea Edge, and as my daughter says - "i like the vibe". We can't wait to return. Hint - it is cheaper to book on Expedia then direct.

The staff was so helpful from the moment I got there. My room was clean and comfy, the balcony and large sliding doors were such a cool feature and, along with the view they look out on, was a highlight of the room. Would highly recommend and will be sure to return in the future.

Our room was on the second floor and had a gorgeous view of the beach front. This hotel has been recently renovated and looked very nice. There were some deficiencies in the room though - the light switch in the bathroom had a gap above it and the outlet by the desk wasnt flush with the wall - both worked fine, but hopefully it can be fixed. There was a lovely shower but there was the orange stain all along the track which hadnt been cleaned in awhile - an easy fix for housekeeping! the kitchenette was great. microwave, toaster and kettle! sink for washing up, dishes and glassware. perfect! The beds were quite hard but I dont mind that. the patio was perfect - sitting out there every morning with a cup of tea and enjoying the view! The tide goes way out and you can walk for miles! All the staff were very nice and friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great! you can walk or drive around Parksville easily. I would stay again! Thank you.

Very good hotel at the category, with all the rooms apparently facing the Georgia Strait. Great location, and budget friendly, but the rooms are much larger and well appointed than the regular stuff.

All rooms face the ocean. Nice comfy bed with lots of pillows. Unbelievable view from balcony! Beautiful clean beach. Adequate free parking. Friendly helpful front desk staff. Well equipped Kitchenette.
