This is one that was located in the back of a restaurant. A man friend of the woman who was at the reception directed me to the hotel next door, which seemed to be affiliated with or, at least, working together to provide rooms. I was guided to the hotel next door by the male colleague who was checking me in, and he carried my trolley to my room. I didn't speak English, so I had to wait until the Chinese guests who were in line behind me were checked in. The room was pretty standard, but the restroom had hard stains all over it. The front restaurant had a poster about food safety or something similar on the wall. I had seen them elsewhere, so I knew what it meant. The rating system consists of a sad face smiley, neutral face or happy face. This restaurant had a sad face, but because I had few alternatives I simply ate here anyway. It didn't have bad taste. WiFi was working for me, unlike other reviews I'd read. At the time, my phone's screen had WiFi networks and it was repeatedly saying wifi, and I discovered this after pointing to another poster on the wall with the password. The hotel's position was the only real advantage of my time here. It was at the foot of Hua Shan. You can either start hiking here or take the shuttle to the north cable car stop at the parking lot right next to the entrance

The location was not that difficult to find because apparently every taxi driver in the region is aware of the hotels on this street. There are many hotels like this, most of which have receptionists in the back of a store or restaurant. Nobody at the reception spoke English, so I had to wait until the Chinese customers who were almost in line behind me were checked in. Due to their apparent affiliation or at least collaboration in providing rooms, they were taken to the hotel next door by a male colleague of the woman at the reception. This one was in the back of a restaurant. The old gentleman checking me in appeared friendly and carried my trolley to my room. The room was fairly standard, but the restroom had substantial stains all over the place. The front restaurant had a poster claiming food safety or something similar on the wall. I knew what it meant because I had seen those elsewhere. Its rating system consists of a sad face smiley, neutral face, or happy face. At the time, the password was eight times 8, and I found out by pointing at my phone's network and repeatedly stating wifi. This was a problem because a few people are speaking English, and the location is quite remote. We chose this location based on its advertisement that said they spoke English and its location. This was problematic because we wanted local information when part of our hike planning required local information. Bugs and dirt splatter all over the walls, sheets, and drains from the sink. Chair appeared tattered. The bathroom's door was taped over and broken. The bathroom's door handle was slipped into your hand. The shower hardly functioned and was running out of water, not hot water but a pound of water. We were unable to take two quick showers from it. While it says hostel, the name isn't exactly the same as the one we reserved. We were initially concerned that a taxi would have taken us somewhere else. But they were not. I think the pictures and description of this property are misleading and I am questioning whether the reviews on other sites have been fabricated. The location next to Hassan Mountain is great if you want to hike the mountain from the bottom, but in retrospect, even if you frequently use a cable car to get up, you will enjoy the remainder of the hike, especially if you are climbing all 5 peaks.
