We booked a room for two of us, which was adequate. We have enough space for the two of us, some room for praying, a bathroom, and there was also iron if you are hijacks like me. Iron is essential to have! The host's breakfast was also delicious. There are some restaurants nearby in the morning and afternoon if you decide to indulge in local delicacies.

I had a good time all around and definitely recommended. Stayed at Magpie Residency for two nights. I reserved three different types of rooms: a king room, a double room, and a bunk bed in a dorm. Although the king room was a little bit small, everything else was in working order. The setting is peaceful and quiet, so I could sleep soundly at night. The setting is also excellent. The cleanliness is what I like the most! The place is surprisingly clean, even cleaner than my home. The elevator that takes the snail pace is the only thing I have to complain about, because taking it alone at night is just too scary.

The hostel was comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The capsule-like beds have plenty of privacy, but it was hot at night. Good location, close to most places like Love Lane, Armenia Street, and Little India. The breakfast is excellent. The lockers have good security. There is a great front-of-house place to meet other travelers.

This guesthouse is unique. Located next to the buffer zone, it offers a very quiet space with everything in the center of George within walking distance. The staff are really friendly, the rooms are really well equipped and the whole place is very clean. I really appreciate the included water, coffee, tea and shampoo and shower gel. There is also a great wifi connection. Highly recommend the Magpie residence.

My friend and I stayed for 2 days. Paying in cash in this hotel is only accepted. The room is clean and enough spacious even though the building looks old and the reception looks small at first sight. The owner is friendly and sold us a nice breakfast on our last day. He carefully instructed us on how to take the cat bus to travel freely in town, which is a great experience. We got lots of great photos and memories thanks to his street art and instruction. Worth a recommendation.
