Our family spent two nights at this hotel that was chosen for us. The rooms are comfortable and a good size. The challenge for us was that no one at the hotel spoke English. We tried to keep in mind that we do not speak Mandarin and therefore why should we expect people to speak English, but in reality, we found the experience difficult. For example, it took quite a while to gesturing to order a glass of wine, pay a bill, or ask about a place to have a late dinner after the hotel restaurants were closed. We did not download a translation app before arriving in China and Google is blocked, so despite good wifi, we were unable to figure out how to help ourselves. We want to thank the resourceful bellman who used a translation app on his phone to understand that we were hungry and looking for a place to eat around 10 pm and explained there werent any nearby options for us to walk to but offered to order noodles and send them up to our room. The noodles were fantastic! We greatly appreciate his skill and his willingness to help us. The breakfast buffet was primarily local food, but there were many options, including cereals, yogurt, fruit, egg making, and noodle stations. We skipped the fitness center and couldnt ask anyone, so we skipped it. No pool. Construction noise can be a problem, but our room was far enough away that we

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. On my first trip to China, it was my first hotel I stayed at, and I was happy. The rooms were clean, tastefully decorated, and large by hotel standards. On the first and only night I stayed with them, I had a great night's sleep. The lobby and most of the lifts and lift lobbies smell of cigarette smoke, but I know this is true for most hotels in China due to their smoking policies.

Quiet and convenient location to South train station. However, the bathroom smells even after spraying fragrance. The bed sheet is not so clean which can easily see. Breakfast is okay.

Whilst not the hotel’s fault, there is major construction of a new subway line around the complex which was not advertised at time of booking or anytime before our arrival. The room was very large and the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom arrangement offered no privacy. The reception area also had a particularly unpleasant smell, like vomit. I personally wouldn’t stay here again.
