For the last two weeks, I've been touring around western China on the Silk Road and attempting to locate the best hotels each city had to offer. This is far the best so far. It gets closer to 5 stars from Lanzhou. This didn't say much, but bear in mind. Do not expect it to be like the peninsula in Beijing or the ritz carlton in Budong or Shanghai. However, once you've stayed in some losers in change or Jiayuguan, you'll think you've reached Nirvana. The service is excellent, and they've tried to find me someone who can speak a few words of English whenever I speak with them. The dinner and breakfast buffet are excellent. Sheets are crisp and thick. I was told that the hotel had recently undergone a renovation. It carries the new name. Traveladvisor, which I believe should have updated the name and information, will be difficult to locate. A word of extreme caution. The room's air conditioner isn't very effective, and it's not an issue at all in urumqi in October. However, if you travel to Silk Road in the summer, which you shouldn't, I will advise you to avoid a west-facing room if you want to endure the scorching afternoon sun.

The lobby is tastefully furnished with a large glass dome and a ten foot gold color painting on the wall. The room is nicely decorated some guests told us their room was too hot and no air conditioning, they were told to open the windows though there was none to open! We were lucky that the air conditioner worked The breakfast buffet has plenty of options but most of the food left on a heated tray that reads 100 but the food contents are lukewarm or cold there is not enough staff to handle the huge volume of group tourists e. I. To fill up your coffee, clean the table etc I order noodle soup and watch the chef bring the noodle and dipped in the hot water bath for literally less than five seconds and said it was ready the concierge offers excellent service The bed, pillows, and bedding are very comfortable they have two options for bathing the traditional bathtub or the California shower head

If you want to book this hotel for 2 nights, this place is not suitable for guests who are looking for affordable lodgings as the place is very far from the main attractions like bazaar and cod. There are some good local restaurants nearby as well as a lot close to the subway. The receptionist service is slow. The location is a bit far from the main attractions like bazaar and cod. But it is not worth it for 2 nights.

The Huang hotel has some of the most luxurious rooms I've ever seen in China. 12 years living and working in the middle kingdom. Tasteful decor in every way. The bathroom is well equipped. Selections in the English language were adequate. The location in the city center near the medical university.

This hotel is now known as the Universal International Hotel or hotel. We had a spacious twin room with a bathtub and a large bathroom. There were excellent lighting and many amenities. There was a bbd channel that did not match my expectations. Breakfast was also excellent. There were a ton of asians' options, and the eatery was pretty incredible. Loved the warm soya milk and croissants. The only complaint I have is the security check and scanner placed at the hotel entrance. Every time you enter the hotel, be prepared to pass through the checks. Security checks appear to be common in xinjiang.
