We were very happy that we settled on this hotel after spending 11 days here. You will be made to feel welcome from the minute you enter. Nothing is too much trouble, and the personnel is outstanding. The rooms are excellent, and we heartily suggest the street's balcony, which is a wonderful spot to relax and watch the world go by in the evening with a drink. Breakfast is freshly made to order and served with a smile. We especially liked the pool area with no children and no one requesting sun loungers and towels because it was simply insufficient for five rooms. It's also a very safe region. We were a little concerned at first, but soon realized we had nothing to worry about. Excellent hotel, strongly suggested!.

We stayed for two nights there. A small, very beautiful and modern hotel in the old town. Our room was on the top floor, spacious and with all amenities, facing the pool. Fast wifi, breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and eager. Unfortunately, check in is at 15.30, as many hotels today.

Entering Gastelbondo's coolness is a pleasant relief from the sweltering heat of civilization. The breakfast area and reception are only cooled by ceiling fans, not by air conditioning, but even that is a help. Air conditioning in the room is very efficient. Large and spacious rooms and a large shower, despite the water pressure being unreliable. By colonial standards, this is a fairly expensive hotel, but everything in touristy cartage is overpriced. And the coolness and calmness of the place and the absence of noisy children are most appreciated.

The very first impression I got is the atmosphere of this hotel because we walked inside to the front door. We are a two-bedroom room with a lovely balcony that faces the front. It was so nice to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. Even though we were facing the front, it was calm at night. Our room was spotless, big and comfy, with comfortable beds. There were plenty of options for breakfast and the whole waiter service was provided by a friendly young man. The whole staff was kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Casa Gastelbondo if you like small and intimate hotels.

The location is excellent because it's conveniently located near to the old city and cafe del mar, making it ideal for enjoying the sunset in a cool lounge environment while also being a quiet, charming street that's not overgrown, making it a wonderful respite from a day of sightseeing. The employees are friendly, accommodating, and sweet. The interior is stunning, both simple and elegant. The second-floor room had a large window that overlooked the courtyard. Although we initially had no view of the road, it turned out to be a carnival season for people and very loud music, so we decided not to be on the street, which made us glad. Our room was wonderful, with a comfy bed and plenty of closet space. The bathroom was beautiful, marble and stone, and the shampoo and lotions were all very nice. Breakfast selections were excellent, with a wide selection including the usual options like eggs and fruit, yogurtgranola, breadspastries, and traditional Colombian options like areas and empanadas. Excellent coffee! Each morning, the leader served us breakfast and was very sweet and considerate, making us feel welcome and allowing us to start the day. The two young women who were in reception were terrific, as were the ones who were always available to assist, make reservations for us, and answer any questions we had, always with a grin.
