Great place to stay in the funky Getsemani neighborhood without breaking the bank but still within easy walking distance of the old town. Different options for the included breakfast is nice to have, but go elsewhere for coffee (great place 2 doors up). Air conditioning in rooms is a welcome reprieve from the humidity and heat.

It's a small cozy hotel, near the popular plaza trinidad. The rooms are nice and clean. It has a good terrace and breakfast. The staff is friendly and the rooms are relatively clean.

We stayed here for three nights and had a good experience. The location is ideal in the middle of Getemani, the hotel atmosphere is lush and lovely, and the rooftop deck is a hidden gem. Sadly, no hot water for showers and no soaps or shampoo in the room. I would not recommend this hotel.

Casa Mary is undoubtedly a step above a hostel but right in the middle of the hostel area of Gethesemani, in Cartage. That makes it a great place to stay in the middle of the action. Its easily within walking distance of the walled city and exceptionally close to good restaurants, bars, and shops. Expect about 5,00 and 15 minutes to the airport.

The staff was courteous. Obviously not again because rooms were not a place wed want to spend time after lengthy walking in the city. Our accommodation was quite shabby, however. The hallway and entryway have gorgeous details like the trees, fish, and the rooftop. Despite the fact that we had a room in front of the street, which was essentially 247, the room was really basic. Expect the floor, hard bed, and very old furniture to put our backpacks. The room also had a moldy refrigerator that leaks water or something else. The historic city center is about a 510minute walk away.

The location is good, close to the walled city, easy to navigate from but it’s extremely close to Havana Cafe and on a noisy street. While it’s proximity to Havana Cafe is good for navigation, the music can be heard until 3am. Plus the cars and people on the street make for a noisy room. I was on the front, possibly quieter in a different room but earplugs are a necessity. Breakfast was very good, service was very good however little English is spoken. The night person who checked me in spoke English but no one else I encountered did. Not a failing at all, just for your information. Everyone was very pleasant, very kind and courteous, and this is a safe guesthouse, they lock the front door with someone at the desk to let you in.

I would like to thank the staff of Casa Mary for being so accommodating and understanding of my fear of cats. I'm used to cats being in people's homes not hotels. I should have done my research more. Otherwise everything else was great. Breakfast (as everyone has noted) was great. Beds were comfortable. Above all else, location location location. Hopefully the construction next door does not go on for very long for the folks that want to sleep in after partying across the street at Cafe Havana. I hope your new neighbors will be as kind to you as you were to me.

A pousada é muito boa e acolhedora. Fica localizada no bairro Getsemaní, a somente 600m da entrada da cidade murada. O bairro possui bons restaurantes. Nos deslocamos tranquilamente a pé para a cidade murada, o Castelo de São Felipe de Barajas e para restaurantes. Fica no mesmo quarteirão do Café Havana. Ficamos num quarto amplo e bem limpo com boa cama de casal e um sofá cama. Possui frigobar e cofre. O quarto parecia ter sido reformado a poucos dias. No chuveiro somente água fria, mas você perceberá que a água quente não faz falta. O café da manhã é suficiente. São oferecidos 5 opções e todas acompanham uma entrada de frutas. É diferente de um buffet, mas foi suficiente. Os funcionários são bem prestativos e nos ajudaram muito.

We had our reservation at Casa Mary but when we arrived they informed us the bathroom of our room had just broke so they relocated us on a near by sister hotel. They were supper kind and apologize for the inconvenience. The hotel that they put us in is called Torre Reloj, and tho it wasn't as nice looking the location was unbeatable, it's right in the main plaza. Overall, a good place to stay (if you're not looking for fancy)
