So wonderful to come back to this magical place. Thanks to Emmanuel, Davis and Arlin, who guided me, scheduled events, they even got me a great ride back to the airport with Henry (at 4:30 AM -- thanks Denis and Davis!) who became my tour guide as we drove in the early morning via the scenic La Virgin pathway. At the resort, wonderful jungle trails, birds-- green macaws, parrots, kingfishers,--- colors and birdsong, river scenes, forest-bathing, Lots of jungle and river activities. While staying there, everyone was very cheerful, helpful and friendly. Eleodoro introduced me to his local family. A cooking class with extended family shared their personal knowledge of Costa Rica's past days. I learned the most ways to eat chocolate during the chocolate tour. Wish I knew everyone else's names to thank them all -- Sergio who knows about all those mushrooms, Dona Maria who enhanced my headgear, Liz and Bianca and the housekeeping team, Ulysses who escorted me in rain, Aidan assisting in every way... Chilimate a magical place!

J'ai beaucoup aimé cette retraite dans la jungle. L'espace pour le yoga, les repas, le parcours d'auto thérapie par la forêt, les sentiers dans la jungle, tout y était pour pouvoir décrocher et vivre un moment de connexion avec la nature. Le seul point négatif est qu'il y avait des travaux au niveau de la rivière et du restaurant de l'hébergement et qu'il y avait donc beaucoup de bruit durant la journée. Mais à part cela, tout était parfait et je reviendrai certainement!

We had a warm welcome from the moment we arrived , with clear instructions prior to arrival as well. The breakfast as mentioned in previous reviews was the best that we have had in Costa Rica and likewise we were treated to a wonderful home cooked three course meal at a very reasonable price. We loved the peaceful surroundings with nature on the doorstep including trails into the forest. We loved our stay and just wish we had planned to stay longer.

Mooie locatie met een geweldige tuin, waar de natuur volop aanwezig is (flora én fauna). Uitstekende service; zo mochten we wat langer na uitcheck-tijd op de kamer blijven om te douchen na het raften. Super! Aardig personeel en prima eten. Prima prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Onze kamer was wat gedateerd, maar dat was geen probleem en hij was bovendien ruim en met prachtig uitzicht.

This was an inexpensive option for our family to stay in Sarapiqui. The property is interesting because of the covered pathways and proximity to two miles of rainforest trails, and we spied frogs, howler monkeys, iguana, caterpillars, etc. Breakfast was wonderful. There is no air conditioning or hot water, which was fine for us. Wet clothes will take a looooong time to hang dry. We are a family of 6, and I thought from photos that we would likely have a room with bunk beds. Instead we were given two rooms, and that worked for us.

The setting is lovely with beautiful trails and riverside-views. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, setting up tours and answering questions. The food was top notch with great plant-forward options. The riverside room had AC which was an added perk. Although the room itself was fairly basic, it was very clean and met our needs to be able to enjoy the surroundings.

Lovey eco lodge really working with the environment. Fabulous staff, couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely breakfasts, healthy locally sourced dinner buffet and tea and coffee all day long. Tours on offer were great too- we did the bird walk and saw so much that we would have missed! Rafting with Rios fabulous. Yes the rooms are a little basic but all in keeping with the ethos of the place. You will not be disappointed!
