Did a 1 night stay here but loved the property - the ambience, views, onsite restaurants and conveniently close to the airport. Pool was very cold though. Highly recommend.

I stayed at the Marriott Resort in Belen , Heredia CR. It was a beautiful and relaxing place to be. Both family friendly while also a place conducive to nature walks and bird watching. The exercise path is lovely and you get to see many types of birds. Breakfast at the Cafe was excellent. The Desayuno Tico was authentic and so generous that certainly two people could share it. The Isabella restaurant was outstanding in the quality and preparation of the food. Definitely a place I hope to return to.

Great staff always outgoing and helpful. Beautiful place to stay. Got executive suite w Mountain View, but the view was mostly blocked. Didn’t care for the tuna at Bar 10. Besides that perfect!

My family and I were in awe of the hotel and the aesthetics were amazing! Everything was so beautiful to look at, even the hallways! We were so impressed with all the details that went into the hotel. We loved the amenities (a big gym, a spa, two pools/hot tub). Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I had temporarily misplaced my water bottle and one staff member was helpful in trying to track it down- she even called our room later in the day to see if I found it. Our only disappointments were that the basketball hoop was broken, only one tennis court, and I had overlooked the advertised cost of the Father’s Day buffet so I was shocked when we got the bill of $200 for two kids and two adults. It had also been sub par. We had arrived toward the later end of the buffet and the food had been sitting out for hours with lots of flies. I wished we had not done the pricey buffet, but other than that, we were so thrilled by our experience and would definitely come again.

Stayed here for one night to be close to the airport for a flight the next morning. A wonderful hotel! Staff were very accommodating and kind! The room was clean and premises were absolutely beautiful. I wish I had more time here to enjoy the spa, restaurant, etc but hope to return in the future.

The hotel was amazing. It is well kept and the property was beautiful. The staff were amazing and were very friendly. The Hotel Area Manager Dennis Whitelaw met us at the lobby when we just arrived and he was amazing. He welcome us and even give us gift (Costa Rica Coffee) which we really appreciate. We love the good and we will definitely be back.

The Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belén is the place to be if you need to stay in San José for one or two days. First of all, the building itself is stunning, and the surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained. It feels like a peaceful oasis and offers a striking contrast to the rest of San José, while still being conveniently close to the airport. The rooms are slightly noisy, but the staff more than make up for it—they are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and service-oriented. The gym is excellent. We were hoping to play pickleball, but unfortunately there was no net available. The swimming pools are a very welcome addition and add to the relaxed, resort-like atmosphere. For lunch and dinner, the restaurants La Castilla, La Isabela, and Bar 10 are all highly recommended. For breakfast, I would skip the relatively expensive buffet and instead go to Casa del Café, where you can enjoy a delicious à la carte breakfast along with excellent coffee and pastries. In terms of price, it was comparable to an airport hotel, but the experience felt much more like a mini vacation.
