We had a wonderful experience at the Diria. The hotel is beautiful and so lush. 3 pools and the swim up bar made the entire stay relaxing. Plus there are many restaurants on property that had delicious food. The monkeys in the trees were a plus. Our room was well appointed and modern. Spacious bathroom and shower. Loved the patio overlooking the expansive pool. Pros: Plentiful and delicious breakfast buffet. Close to everything. Very secure. A room for every budget. Helpful staff. Swim up bar. Monkeys and iguanas. Great shops. Cons: Confusing parking. Luggage drop off cumbersome. Only 1 TV channel - Spanish news. Inconsistent shower temperature. Peddlers everywhere.

The property is very beautiful and breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. Pools and swim up bars were great but the drinks were hit and miss on quality. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay very much.

This property is awesome! It’s nice and spread out, but not so much that you have to walk far to get to other buildings/pools, etc. There is a road between the buildings, but it’s super safe to cross, and not even that big of a deal. The rooms are very nice and clean and look just like the photo’s. There are 4 pools, and one swim up bar. Daily breakfast consists of a huge buffet, with something different each day. My favorite was the specialty coffee maker. My husbands favorite was the green juice. The location is PERFECT. It’s right on the beach and right smack in the middle of the downtown area, surrounded by shops and restaurants. It’s quite easy to get lounge chairs with shade on the beach (for a cheap fee), and they have vendors selling drinks and massages. And if sand isn’t your vibe, there is a huge grassy area in the front of the beach with free lounge chairs. Highly highly recommend this hotel. I traveled with my husband and two teenagers and everyone loved it. We will definitely be back.

Breakfast was the first thing on our minds each day. We fed squirrels birds and an iguana each day from the table. Beach is perfect especially right at the resort. Ate at several of the resort restaurants all were excellent. Everything was perfect. So far our favorite part of cr is Tamarindo.

This resort was wonderful! It was clean, the staff was always helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was amazing! We also enjoyed watching the World Cup at the swim up bar! I loved that you can walk right into town to shop or eat. Will definitely return!!

The hotel was centrally located. It was walking distance to all the restaurants and the Diria restaurants were excellent. very safe. The hotel is adjacent to the beach which is fantastic. Staff was great. a big shout out to Brenda, she was excellent. The breakfast was very good. We will definitely return to the hotel and recommend it to anyone. They organized our pickup from the hotel which was seamless. The only downside was our room entrance was facing the side street and it was noisy in the mornings.

I had a very goos stay at the Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort and would definitely rate the hotel itself five stars. The property has two sections—one directly on the beach and another across the street, which is where I stayed. My room was fantastic, with high ceilings, a jacuzzi on the balcony, and a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The location is excellent and reminded me a little of Aruba in the sense that you can walk in almost any direction for a quarter mile or so and find shops, restaurants, and plenty of dining options. There is also a local church not too far away, which was nice to visit. The food in the area was a little hit or miss. While walking around, I was occasionally approached by people trying to sell things or even offering drugs, so certain parts of the surrounding area could feel a little sketchy at times. That being said, the hotel grounds themselves felt very safe, secure, and well monitored. The guests and many of the people around the property were extremely friendly. Some of the staff, however, didn’t always seem to fully embrace the warm “Pura Vida” spirit I expected. The hotel is about an hour from the airport, and the drive was a little tough in both directions. Still, considering the roughly four-and-a-half-hour flight, the overall trip was well worth it. The breakfast was very good also and not expensive if it wasn’t included in your package. A beautiful property, a fantastic room, and a great Costa Rica experience overall.

Hotel situé direct en face de la plage. Notre chambre était situé l’autre côté de la rue mais la grosse piscine avec bar était situé là aussi et à côté de notre chambre. Les déjeuners sont excellents et vue direct sur l’eau en mangeant. Toute la famille a adoré.
