This is an absolute gem of a hotel. The room was enormous and my teenagers” favorite hotel we have stayed at. I loved the soaker tub. They loved their own space and there were 3 beds in the second room. There were two showers and two toilets. The pool was stunning and the view of the lake was spectacular. The workers were so friendly, kind, helpful and interested. We stayed for two nights and should have stayed longer. The front porch area was private and comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious. One night we met a family that stopped in for dinner and couldn’t believe the views. He wanted to know how we found this place. Definitely stay here with your family. We stayed in room 11. You should Have a car to stay here because it is not near La Fortuna.

La mansion is in a beautiful location, and has nice views of the lake. The swimming pool and hot tub (more of a warm-tub) were great. I also loved our bright yellow room with crazy tiles thoughout the bathroom. The restaurant was ok. I would recommend eating at one of the local sodas instead. Overall, a great spot if you have a car to explore the area(Including La Fortuna)

An absolute gem of a spot! You will not be disappointed with this well managed and beautiful situated inn on Lake Arenal. Quaint yellow cottages with gorgeous views, an infinity pool and hot tub, ancient looking artifacts, fanciful paintings and a welcoming staff make this place unique and relaxing. We added an extra night just to take advantage of the views from our porch and our lovely room. Sunsets are the highlight of the day. Breakfast is included at the restaurant with bar on site. Prices are a little high however the food is very good and the convenience on having it right on site makes it worth it. Desk clerk, Kevin, was congenial and accommodating. Make sure you check out the photo album in the bar which shows how this inn was built and a story of the man who built it. A fascinating feature which will enhance your experience.

Don't hesitate,this place is amazing. We stayed in the 3 bed/3bath villa with a private pool. The pool was heated and so warm that we stayed in it for hours. The sunset view can't be beat better than any ocean view we've had. There were many different birds all day long. The beds were comfortable and there was so much room. The master suite was giant with a double sink and jacuzzi. The other two bedrooms and baths were off the kitchen and living room area and private. Don't hesitate--we wished we'd stayed here a week. Oh and breakfast was good, but go to the restaurant next door for a wonderful dinner. It doesn't look like it from the outside, but it has a wonderful view of the canopy from their outside eating area and the food was so good.

the hotel is in a beautiful setting with views of the lake.The staff were very helpful. The accomodation is very comfortable and spacious. A very good breakfast cooked to order. I would suggest you need a car to benefit all that the area has to offer. Overall an excellent stay.

We booked this property on a whim just passing through Lake Arenal for one night. This is definitely a place I’d go back to. The photos do not do it justice!! The individual cottages are absolutely adorable, spacious, and have a killer view. The restaurant on the property is also wonderful—the food is superb!

From the minute we pulled into this property, I knew pictures didn’t do it any justice. It is beyond beautiful. The views are out of this world. Rooms were so cute, beds were comfortable. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! For reference, we traveled with 2 adults, 2 kids ages 11 and 12 and a 1 year old.
