Great staff! Rodrigo at breakfast daily was friendly and quick. Wood fired pizza at the pool for lunch was delicious. And was great to be so close to the manual Antonio park and easy walk to the public beach. Rest of staff was super friendly and helpful.

Great place with a great atmosphere. Fantastic location, just a short walk from the public beach and from the entrance to Manuel Antonio national park. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The rooms are all unique, beautiful, spacious, and clean. The staff are exceptionally helpful and kind. The included breakfast was one of the tastiest meals we had in Costa Rica! Good access to the park and beach. Highly reccomend!

This hotel was modern, beautiful and very clean. We had a nice balcony where monkeys even came to visit complete with some early wake-up calls! Watching a monkey run across the balcony was hilarious and we loved every moment. The wildlife was amazing too - they even have two iguanas by the pool which we loved seeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is super convenient, close to the beach, stores and restaurants. We will definitely be back. We really love this hotel!

The best combination of proximity to the park, proximity to the beach, yet a quiet location with lush plantings throughout the property that make it peaceful, private and tropical. Great pool (and pool bar) with an awesome, friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast with wonderfully local food items.

Nothing else to say about this place but perfection! Proximity to Manuel Antonio five minute walk. Staff everyone VERY friendly and helpful. Pool, breakfast, poolside bar everything exceptional. All very, very, good! Can’t wait to come back!

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. You are so close to Manuel Antonio park and the beach with a good choice or bars and restaurants. La Vela Boutique has a small pool which is not busy so getting a sunbed in the afternoon isn’t a problem. Big shout out to the pizza chef who managed to prepare and cook 2 superb pizzas during a power cut under the torchlight of an iPhone. A great place to stay..

We could not be happier with this hotel experience, really the highlight of our entire trip to Costa Rica. Located perfectly between the beach and the entrance to the national park, La Vela is basically in the forest itself, with monkeys and iguanas regular visitors to its outdoor "hallways." Staff was kind and accommodating, pizza at the bar was a wonderful easy meal, and the rooms were clean and bright. Highly, highly recommend.

Staff was wonderful. Location was great. Walkable to park and beach. Small and intimate and such beautiful lush grounds. Rooms are not fancy but are adequate. And monkeys were entertaining at breakfast.

The hotel is smaller and feels intimate. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept. We saw many monkeys n property. Rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bartender at the pool was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We have have stayed at more expensive hotels in Manuel Anton near the park, and we liked this one best. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. Our local flight was cancelled the day before our stay and Joseway sent a driver to pick us up 6 hours away. He also took care of all our excursions. Rodrigo took care of our made to order breakfast every morning and is so kind. It is a Great location! It’s a 3 min. Walk to the beach and 5 min. to Manuel Antonio National Park.
