Overall, a beautiful hotel for a beach vacation. Beautiful beachside setting and a beautiful view. The staff is hospitable, and the cuisine is excellent. Unfortunately, service was very slow and it was extremely noisy despite the sea view suite as the renovation of a nearby swimming pool was going on, and the bathroom window is glass, so even though there are block out curtains, the room is completely light and difficult to fall asleep after sunrise.

The hotel is highly recommended for a family vacation, perhaps a bit less for a couple of elderly people like us. Excellent personnel, professionally trained and pleasant. The rooms are clean and spacious, but they are fairly shabby. They are a little noisy on highways. Interesting decor and a lovely pool and spa area. The new area across the highway is lovely. On a lovely stretch of beach. The restaurant and bar were excellent, and the prices were fair for this class of hotel. There are many families, and the atmosphere is very familykid friendly. The hotel, grounds, restaurant, and beach were all very peaceful and calming despite the size of the kids and babies.

What a magnificent hotel! The resort is entirely self-sufficient, but it is also only a 5-minute taxi ride from town, about 4-dollars, or a short walk from new restaurants. A lovely beach, encircled by lush, dense vegetation, is directly across the street from the main hotel. Lovely wooden paths link the forest between buildings and the pool, which is also wonderful. The rooms are big and immaculate! With a balcony on the second floor, I had a private alcove to read or visit. The beach club and restaurant are located across the street. Usually frogs and sloths are occasionally present. You can also go to the second pool area from there, or a secret hammock area, to unwind. Both cheap sushi and drinks are available right on the beach. The staff at Chameleon are exceptional in a world where many hotels are still blaming couid for poor service! The cleaners are my hardest working group! Every day, the room is sparkling, and they happily respond to requests. The front desk personnel is extremely cordial and helpful, providing ice to the room, towels, and scheduling taxis. It does sometimes cause some odd delays when everything runs on Whatsapp, but it is rarely a problem. Many thanks to Daniel at the front desk, especially! 5 stars! We stayed in a beautiful star bungalow for 4 days and decided that it would be a good idea to relax and have a different experience. This is a star hotel in terms of lodging and food. The rooms are a little outdated and that's partly because everything is stark white so it's very difficult to maintain in a hotel. The food is mediocre and the drinks are watered down. I recommend sticking to beer and wine. This is not a lounge around type of property with limited areas to do so but they do have a nice lounge beachside behind the pool where most of the younger children and parents hang out. Their strip of beach isn't good either and there are maybe 10 lounges around the area. The property is in a small small jungle so it was fun to see the animals when we went inside and out of the house. However, the staff is wonderful. Very kind and helpful but not always cheerful. Hotels seem to be rarity here so it felt like everyone needed a break but was doing their best to do their best. I compare the property to a cheap stay like a home in Miami that hasn't undergone a renovation in 20 years.
