Everything was very nice from the room to breakfast to the staff. The only one thing that could be improved is the entry/exit gate that needs manual opening. If you're leaving late, exit should be automatic, and the wait to trigger gate opening can be lengthy. I will definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our time here. The property was beautiful. The pool was clean and refreshing. The food was good and the staff was very accommodating. The a/c in the room was ice cold and the bed was so soft and comfortable it made it tough to get up in the morning. Overall was a great experience.

Cute boutique hotel. Breakfast was great. Pool looked great with a small slide into a lower pool. We don’t get to use it since we only stayed 1 night and had to leave early. Overall a good experience and excellent value.

This is a beautiful, smaller resort. We only stayed one night, so we didn't make much use of the amenities. Breakfast was good though. The room was clean and very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly with the check-in and allowed us to check-in early even. The location is great for being close to Jaco.

El lugar es muy bonito, tranquilo, ideal si no quieres que te molesten, esta aprox a 10min de la Playa de Jaco, ellos tienen transporte con costo extra por si no quieres pedir Uber, además de que el personal es muy amable. El restaurante tiene un menú pequeño pero muy rico. Y el precio por habitación es excelente. Tienes refrigerador y cocina por si prefieres cocinar

The breakfast was superb with both buffet style and made to order stations despite being the off season. The staff was also wonderful and patient with less than educated Spanish speaking, and they go out of the way to make your stay enjoyable. Just a couple of minor issues with going through the front gate, so keep the hotel phone handy, and we found out that if you have the shower exterior door locked and shut the bedroom door, you've locked yourself out. Take the key with you....

A lovely, peaceful hideaway near Jaco. The breakfast buffet was delicious and it was dreamy swimming amid the forest canopy. The staff were friendly and helpful providing us with bikes & information about local buses, etc. The only issue we had was being locked out after the front desk closed at 9:30 pm.

Pumilio Mountain & Ocean Hotel was the perfect place to begin our Costa Rica adventure. Located between San José and Jacó, it made the first drive from the airport easy and stress-free. The hotel is just minutes from Jacó, yet it feels like you're surrounded by lush jungle. The property is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds, a lovely pool, and an open-air restaurant and spa. Breakfast was included and offered fresh fruit, juices, rice and beans, and freshly made waffles that accommodated our vegan diet. The restaurant also had several vegan-friendly menu options. One of the highlights of our stay was a couples massage in the open-air spa. Our therapists were excellent, and the light rain during the treatment made the experience feel truly magical. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with air conditioning and a full outdoor kitchen. We also enjoyed being close enough to Jacó to visit the farmers market, shop for souvenirs, and take walks on the beach before returning to the peace and quiet of the hotel. If you're looking for a convenient location, beautiful surroundings, and a relaxing start or end to your Costa Rica vacation, Pumilio Mountain & Ocean Hotel is an excellent choice.

Fresh breakfast free daily. Eggs made to order waffles etc ect ect. Very quiet. Very good people staying there. Away far enough from the party on Jaco beach. Very safe. Even left my $200.00;pair of sneakers to dry in the sun. Still there when I returned. Very accommodating staff. Just commicate your needs and wants and it probably will happen. First time to Costa Rica and the people i met and the staff were extremely nice friendly and willing to share their experiences so you can make a decision on what you want to do. Awesome job pumilio staff. Very impressive. I have stayed atvthe waldorf in NYC and Hyatt grand central. And i received better service at pumilio Thank you again!

From the time we booked, they were always reaching out to see if there was anything we needed or wanted to do during our trip. Upon arrival we were greeted by a few of the staff, particularly Adrian. Right from the get go they were extremely hospitable and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Alot of the staff are from that neighborhood and we actually ate two nights at Soda El Rincon which is just this little family owned place that serves absolutely delicious food. The pool is incredible and the restaurant on site is delicious. If you love nature this is the place for you. Amazing and quiet and probably the best staff I've ever met.
