Exceptional service and hospitality. They make you feel special. They take great pride in their work, and it shows. Cannot beat this location right in the heart of Diocletian Palace. Parking is <10 minutes of walking distance but they welcome you at the parking lot and guide you to their property. Once you are in the hotel, they explain everything and treat you to drinks and appetizers at their restaurant. Their included breakfast was 5 stars. It feels amazing when people take pride in their work, city, and history.

Had an amazing time here! Authentic Croatian experience. Felt like we were guests at their house! Toma did a great job with everything explaining the history of split and showering us with little gifts and tiny details that made the experience that much better. All of the staff are friends with each other so the vibes are unreal!! Don’t leave without trying their Makarun pasta obviously!

Modern facilities well-located in old town. Remarkably proactive and considerate service from Mario, Toni, Ivan etc. wonderful breakfast in the Makarun Restaurant that is associated with the rooms. Would stay there again next time i am in Split. Take advantage of concierge service as the rooms are well hidden. Easier to find restaurant entrance.

My stay here was amazing. Upon booking they sent communication with specifics of how to get there, asked if we needed any help with reservations, ride service, and activities. All the staff was welcoming, wanted to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed to enjoy the hotel and city. At check in they provided an overview of Split while sitting down at the restaurant with a tray of cheese and prosciutto, showed a map and suggestions of what to do for our time. Delicious 4 courses Breakfast was included. The restaurant is top notch-it was one of the best meals and service we had in Croatia.

Toni our host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was incredible. He went so far to manage our luggage and escort us to a complicated ferry situation to get to Hvar. I have traveled frequently oversees with family. Toni treated us as if we here his family. The location could not be better to get a real feel of Split.

One of our nicest experiences with accommodation in Split, beautiful room, beautiful breakfast. The location was perfect, in the old town with easy access to the Marina. Our host was more than helpful - we would definitely return.

We spent five of the most wonderful days of our holiday at this lovely boutique hotel, and none of us wanted to leave at the end. Everything about this lovely hotel exceeds expectations, from the accommodations, to the food and the outstanding service. If you want to be pampered on your visit to Split, you must book the Hotel Makaran! We loved it so much that we actually cancelled one of our day trip excursions so that we could have time for an authentic cooking experience on the beautiful rooftop with Mario and Baba. We cooked, ate and drank the best Croatian food & wines - the experience could not have been better! In addition, Ivan was the most incredibly attentive service provider, offering us insider tips to make our time in Split extra special! Also, the 4 course breakfast is exceptional! We wish all who stay here as lovely a time as we had! We cannot wait to return!

We had a wonderful short stay at this lovely and quaint hotel. The location was on point, so close to everything. The staff were so helpful, especially Mario and Ivan. They arranged everything for us without hesitations. The breakfast was so delicious. And homemade traditional Croatian dishes were amazing as well. Would highly recommend this restaurant/hotel.

Et nydelig lite hotell i gamlebyen. Personalet var svært serviceinnstilt, langt ut over det man kan forvente. Og de hadde den mest fantastiske frokosten jeg noen sinne har spist, den må oppleves. Greit rom med nyoppusset bad og hyggelig restaurant-område.

We arrived with 2 other couples what a little gem of a place. Mario organised a staff member to meet us at the port and take us and our luggage to the rooms. We were greeted with coffees and the families own brandy( very good). Our rooms were ready by 10am, during that time we were given a talk on where to go and what to see, recommendations for places to eat. The whole place is modern with all the traditional atmosphere. Our rooms were beautiful with all the finishing touches of a 5* hotel.. nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff who made you feel very special,the food was equally 5*. Everywhere was within a few minutes walking distance. The 5 course breakfast was delicious using all locally sourced ingredients, the dirty eggs were cooked to perfection and delicious. ( never had them before) The evening atmosphere was something else in this quaint courtyard. We came back from an evening out and the restaurant was busy with locals eating and Mario insisted we all had cheese, ham , coffees and local liqueurs before bed, how special was that!! Even our airport transport was organised like clockwork and the driver gave us a history lesson on route. We cannot recommend the beautiful place enough and will be recommending it to our family and friends

We had a lovely room, the hosts were excellent, very friendly and helpful. They helped us with parking and the concierge met us to help with our luggage as the hotel is in a pedestrianized zone. The hotel is right in the middle of old ten Split which is lovely.

Would thoroughly recommend. Your host contacts you ahead of time, provides activity options for your stay, we had a lovely clean room, it’s right in the centre of Split, and breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. We loved it and will be staying here next year. Thanks to the team for making it so special
