Residencia Santa Clara is a lovely, small, privately run hotel in a great location in Old Havana. All the staff we met were really friendly and happy to offer advice which was really helpful when first arriving in the city. Our room was on the small side but had everything we needed and was very clean. There is also a nice cafe/bar and small rooftop area. One of the best things we did in Havana was a walking tour with Liber (concierge for the Santa Clara), which was incredibly informative and really helped give an insight into the history of the county and the struggles facing people living there today. I would highly recommend anyone that gets the opportunity does this on the first day of their trip to get a real understanding of life in Cuba.

La struttura è dotata di tutti i confort, Wi-fi compreso. Il letto è comodissimo. Tutto è arredato con molto buon gusto. E’ anche dotata di due comode terrazze. Molto bravi i cuochi, spesso oltre alla colazione abbiamo anche pranzato e cenato. Tutto il personale è gentilissimo e ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. Se dovessimo tornare a L'Avana torneremmo sicuramente da loro!

Just returned from a 3 day stay at Residencia Santa Clara and truly a great experience. As others have mentioned, the entire staff is so genuinely warm and welcoming. Very much a family ambiance. My room was spotless and very comfortable and the Residencia sits in a perfect spot in Old Havana just minutes from beautiful Plaza Vieja and busy Calle Obispo. The historical treasures of Havana are all around you and the Residencia will easily and happily arrange transportation all around town. The included breakfast was delicious and the lobby bar a nice spot for a nightcap. Special kudos to the wonderful Lider who is an incredible guide and can help with transportation and activities with a warm and personal touch. I would very happily return to Residencia Santa Clara and thank them for a wonderful time!

Our stay was outstanding. The room was very nice and clean, with a great shower that offered excellent control over hot and cold water. The beds had freshly laundered sheets, and everything felt quite new and recently renovated. Although we were three people and the room might have been a bit small for that number, it was not an issue for us since we spent most of the day exploring. The service was exceptional; everyone was very attentive, and the breakfast was delightful. Additionally, we dined at the hotel one evening, and the quality of the food remained impressive. Overall, I highly recommend this property!

Un grand merci à Juliette, Serge ainsi qu’à l’ensemble du personnel. Leur attention et leur gentillesse rendent le séjour des plus agréables, accueil chaleureux avec un cocktail de bienvenue, suivi d’explications très utiles sur la ville. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux, la chambre est tres propre. La décoration est superbe, idéale pour ceux qui aiment la beauté de l’imperfection. Je recommande cet hôtel sans hésiter, l’emplacement est parfait, en plein cœur de la vieille ville. Nous avons également passé une journée à Santa Maria Del Mar pour la plage, à seulement 35 minutes en bus depuis Central Park, une escapade que je conseille vivement ! A big thank you to Juliette, Serge and the entire staff. Their attentiveness and kindness made our stay incredibly pleasant. We received a warm welcome with a complimentary drink, followed by very helpful information about the city. The breakfast was generous, and the room was very clean. The décor is stunning, perfect for those who appreciate the beauty of imperfection. I highly recommend this hotel without hesitation, the location is perfect, right in the heart of the old town. We also spent a day at Santa Maria Del Mar for the beach, just a 35-minute bus ride from Central Park

Excellent location in the heart of old Havana, and is walking distance to most of old city sights. The surroundings may not to be everyone’s taste , but that is a Havana issue a not the property’s. Staff very friendly and helpful with excellent breakfasts.

A charming, stylish place to stay in Havana, just minutes away to Plaza Vieja and the Old City, with the harbour in the other direction. Everyone there was so welcoming and friendly, we felt right at home. The bed was big and comfortable with a clever arrangement of the shower, sink and toilet in the room. Breakfast was great: fresh fruit, toast, eggs, coffee and juice. And the highlight of our days in Havana was a tour with Liber, which we cannot recommend enough. We learnt so much about the city, Cuba and its history; it was a pleasure to spend time in his company. Honestly, I am so pleased we read the reviews and chose to stay here.

Residencia Santa Clara is a must stay. The location is perfect, easy walking distance to the local market, a must for your local crafts and souvenirs (hundreds of vendors) and Old Havana. We felt very safe. Tourism is much needed. We utilized the hotel’s guide Liber (WhatsAp 53 5 2683005) for all of our tours and were not disappointed. We did the city tour in a Classic Car, and walking tour of Old Havana, his knowledge was amazing and his English was perfect. All of the hotel staff, were top notch, Serguey, Amin, Juliette and others made us feel at home and appreciated. The complimentary breakfast of assorted fresh fruit, fresh juice, eggs and toast and Cuban coffee was amazing. We did venture out to several private restaurants (recommended by Liber) and found them delightful, but found the dinner/lunch at Residencia was the best. The wifi at the hotel worked great, there were two networks, one while in the room and one while in the lobby. Keep in mind that the internet in Cuba is slow, but I was able to send pictures etc. Highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat to Residencia Santa Clara!

We had a good stay in Santa Clara. The hotel is in a convenient area with very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and good. Room didn't have any windows to look outside but that's probably because it's in a residential area which, like most of Havana we've seen, is very poor, so probably for the best.
