My plans fo my 50th birthday was to go to a tropical place and just relax and enjoy the sun. I am so lucky to have picked this resort out of all of them. The property was so breath taking with all their palm trees and lush gardens. The grounds we kept very nicely and super clean. My room was great, had all the amenities I could possibly need. The staff was the most friendliest, nicest, people. Oscar in the dining hall, was always so welcoming and sweet to us, and Darwin at the swim up bar was always so fun and nice. We encountered so many other staff members that were always so helpful, nice and respectful. Food was delicious , entertainment was always fun, I would definitely will return to this same place. Thank you so much for showing us a great time!

Our stay with Bahia Principe La Romana was great start to finish. I was initially worried, because our incoming flight was delayed in Miami 3 hours. I had booked transportation from the airport through the resort, and I was worried with the delay, they would not be there to pick us up. My fears were unfounded. Although it was late, the pick up crew was there with smiles and quickly eased our minds. Arriving at the resort, we were quickly checked in with 30 minutes to spare to eat supper at the buffet before close. We then enjoyed live music, salsa dancing, and drinks in the lobby area. A welcome atmosphere after a long day of travel. We spent the next three days either on the beach or at the pool in relaxation mode and enjoying the entertainment staff, beautiful weather, and family atmosphere. Our family of five (three daughters ages 21, 15, 10) had a great time walking the beach, swimming, playing chess, taking salsa lessons, enjoying the foam party, and reading by the pool. The wait staff in the restaurants were so friendly and helpful. Make sure you get reservations to the onsite restaurants AS SOON AS YOU BOOK!! We didn't and ended up with late late meal times, but the wait staff was still very welcoming and attentive. Our rooms were clean with service each day and the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely visit this resort again.

The property is great overall. Definitely very clean throughout. Food: the buffet food options were fantastic, like multiple kinds and cooks of proteins ( like stews, fajitas, fresh grilled, soups for all types of meats every night...) made to order pastas, extreme variety of desserts, great tropical fruits, really nice vegetarian options... breaksfasts were similar , all types of eggs from made to order omelets to fritatas, sunny side up, with veggies, inside a tortilla... to quail eggs, great variety of breads and pastries...so basically buffet was great!! I have been to many all inclusives and this buffet was one of the best. There are also 3 alacarte restaurants, the italian was delicious, Mediterranean was just seafood so we couldnt tey as a whole family as we have one sea food allergy family member...french was all booked multiple days in advance.... one negative about food services was how long it took them to take the finished plates away. Most times we had multiple plates and cups piled on top of each other on the side which made it difficult for us to enjoy the rest of the food as the table was very crowded with stuff (very difficult because we have a baby who wants to grab everything he sees...) Drinks: 1 pool, 1 beach, 2 by the lobby/casino bars. Cocktails and other drinks were okay overall. Most people we saw were getting pina coladas, beers or coco loco -- not the top brand alcohols ( no baileys, not good margaritas etc...) but pool bar staff were great.
