I loved this place because is a hotel right by the beach. I had the room with the balcony beach view. Room service available. The staff is very welcoming. They are in the process of renovation. Everyday I saw new things getting done to the restaurant below. The food was excellent.

The location of this hotel was perfect. Right on the beach and also on the Main Street. Everything you need is on your doorstep. The staff were all amazing. They were so welcoming, easygoing and extra helpful. They were always available to assist with anything we needed and they never missed an opportunity to greet or have a friendly chat. Would highly recommend this place. Multiple languages spoken by staff and great quality food served by the chef. Thanks for having us!

Stayed at Village by the beach to celebrate the husband's birthday. We had a wonderful time. This is our second time staying there and we plan to come back. We love being able to eat by the beach and relax. The food is great and the staff treat us like family.

I was a bit concerned about the area since I am Dominican and I know how things work over there however I felt very safe, Thaylor and Marcus and his crew are the best peoe I ever met in my life. They immediately made me feel like family the service and love I got from them was extraordinary and I have been to many countries and hotels in my life and not once did I feel like people wanted to get to know me! The location is great because the beach is outside! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. My cousin stayed with me one night and she will be going back there again! Thank you guys for making my vacation so great and I will be going back soon!

This is a very nice and cozy hotel right on the beach, The hotel staff is very welcoming and fun to hang around with.They treat each other like family and make you feel at home as well. Food is great and Chef Markens definitely did a great job on the menu options. The bartenders are awesome, Renee and Alexis make the best mojitos, Pedro and Moise do a great job at keeping order around the beach. Pedro is also very helpful at getting guests the best deals around. Overall this is a great place, very comfortable and welcoming and we will definitely be back.

Charmant petit hotel situe en plein coeur de la zone touristique les pieds dans l'eau . Sa valeur ajoutee c'est la qualite de l'acceuil de tout le personnel ,sa proprete irreprochable ,sa cuisine gastromique de son chef venu de Miami , et lsa joli decoration ,d'inspiration haitienne avec une belle utilsatition du bambou . L'hotel est situe dans une zone plutot animee et un peu "chaude" ,mais sait se mettre a l'abri avec elegance et raffinement. Nous avons ete mon epouse et moi ete aux petits soins pendant tout notre sejour . . Nous reviendrons a coup sur .. Un coup de chapeau au patron Taylor remarquable de presence en continu, gros bisous a Jovely Aissa, Elvtita ,un "yeah man" a Rasta .

The staff at this hotel provide 5 star service. The owners are absolute gems who make sure that every part of your stay is as comfortable as possible. They are not overly pushy and are not trying to sell to you. The waitresses are very attentive and sweet. If you want to truly experience the Dominican Republic, this is the place to come. You are beach front, surrounded by other Dominican tourists instead of being locked up in some over-priced resort. The main chef at Village on this Beach is a food genius- he will cook up whatever you ask for and make sure it looks 5 star. People come from resorts around the area to try his food because it is reasonably priced and delicious. The hotel provides great security on the beach so you don't have to worry about your belongings when you go in the water. The rooms are basic but very clean and perfectly air-conditioned. The location is perfect- you are beach front and can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the water. I can honestly say this is the best service my boyfriend and I have received in a low-cost hotel and we have traveled to over 40 different countries.

The owner was friendly and accommodating and I was surprised that there was 2 restaurants there. Boca Chica is a great place to stay and with inexpensive options like Village on The Beach. They are making improvements to the property so it's only going to get better!

My fiance and I enjoyed our stay there and loved it. We'll definitely go back. We had breakfast right on the beach. The beach bar is approx 20 ft from the water where you can dine near the bar or on the beach. I sipped many frozen Pina Coladas while enjoying the beach, nice thing is the waitress comes out to you on the beach. The turquoise waters of Boca Chica are warm and inviting. Many things to do and the nightlife is awesome too. We have family in Santo Domingo and we had them there twice, 12 plus 3 children for a feast which was unbelievable. The fish was outstanding as well as all the rest of the food. They really went out of there way to please my guests and I. Thank you so much to all the staff for making our stay incredible.Special thanks to Thayler and Larry and rasta

Not a couple's vacation spot but if it's just you and your friends and you care least about the condition of your room then this will do. The staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful, which is the hotel's selling point. The food is also very good and the prices are reasonable. They is nearby dancing and a long stretch of beach along with some stores for sourvenir shopping. Wi-fi is also good and air conditioning worked. The only downside is the rooms really need to be updated.

Amazing people & place! Let me first say don't travel during hurricane season! Go there during winter months only. We loved the entire staff (Rasta, Surge, Wolford, Crosby, Joshua, Elbita and ect...)and the humbleness of the location. The food was fresh and each of the 3 chef's catered to your requests. The hotel sits right on the beach with easy access to clubs, restuarants, supermarket and transportation to the capital. We truly had a great vacation and wish we could stay longer!!! We definitely will return in the future. P.S. The only improvements needed are updated Wi-Fi system/ with cable TV/ new windows/plumbing in rooms.

In total I loved my stay at Village at the beach because of the super nice staff and the very nice beach, including the possibility to dine and get drinks directly near the ocean. Before I ever book that room with a beach view without a balcony again, I would make sure the massive water stains on the ceiling and the walls have been fixed and the toilet will actually flush. The room with beach view and balcony has just been renovated while I was there, I would pick that one if I go back. Other rooms seemed to be in better condition, too. The transfer from and to the airport worked very well, too. However, each time it took me about a week to get someone on the phone to arrange the transfer with. But yes, I would go back, for the nice beach, great food and great staff.

It was a nice cozy room. Romantic stay on the beach. Only stayed a couple of days. Loved that we could eat on the premises either inside or right on the beach. The food was delicious.
