My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. The room was super comfortable and clean. Location was excellent, as it was just a short walk to just about anywhere we needed to be. Breakfast was great and it was nice to have water/coffee/tea and fresh bananas available 24 hours a day. Wi-fi speed was also very good. My only minor complaint is that there is very little sound insulation in the room. So you can hear bugs, birds, and people talking outside. So if you're a sensitive sleeper, it might help to bring earplugs. But other than that, this place was great and I would totally stay here again.

This B&B was a great find. Very convenient to the main avenue without all the noise. Less than a 10 minute walk to the ferry dock. Great variety of dining options all around and many shops and tour agencies. The rooms were very clean, air conditioned, hot water available for showers, well decorated and provided a very homey feel to them. The breakfast was basic but was enough to start the day. Max was a very helpful and thoughtful host when it came to accommodating us in the best rooms and on offering advice on excursions. I would definitely stay here again when i come back to Santa Cruz and would recommend it to everyone.

Perfect family run guest house. Staying at Max's was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended. Accommodation is very central at all activities, and the room was very homely and comfortable.

The room was big and bed very comfortable . Max and Lourdes were very gracious and hospitable - they got up early to provide us breakfast even though we had an early departure .

Loved staying at Captain Max's Hostel. It was welcoming, clean and the room was spacious. Captain Max is the kindest man and very accommodating. He was friendly and made a delicious breakfast in the morning. Additionally, the location is great and just a street over had a strip of great seafood restaurants. Our stay was great and the value for the money was excellent.

After staying in hostels/hotels on each Islands, we stayed in Capitan Max on our last night in Santa Cruz before flying home. This B&B was fantastic. The shower was wonderful with great water pressure, the room was clean, the free waters coffee, ad fruit at any time was amazing, and the hammock in the room was a great touch. Not only that, but the owners were incredibly nice and accommodating, allowing us to check in a bit early after arriving from the ferry so that we could put our stuff down. The complimentary breakfast was also very delicious. This B&B is conveniently located next to a lot of places and is very close to the ferry. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Santa Cruz.

Un endroit chaleureux, avec des bons conseils de visites. Bonne Localisation, tous ce fait à pied. Déjeuner copieux. Endroit très propre, ou le propriétaire a le soucie du détail. Bonne climatisation. Bref, je vous le recommande fortement.

My husband and I LOVED our stay! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful- they were able to answer questions about transportation, dining recommendations, and more. There was a delicious homemade breakfast every morning. The rooms are spacious and very clean. They even helped us book our inter island ferries. The location is also perfect- quiet street but right next to everything you need in Puerto Ayora. If you’re staying on Santa Cruz, you will not regret booking here!

I wish I could rate 10 stars to Captain Max. The bedroom comfort, quietness, cleanliness, and location made our stay extremely enjoyable. But Max attentions were over the top every day. The best stay out of the 3 islands we stayed in the Galapagos
