We took a bus to the market after spending far too much time on Friday. You won't be able to avoid the excellent animal market if you don't stay the night, but it starts early. The location of Hostel Maria is ideal because it is just around the corner from the square where the artisan market is located. The double bed in the rooms was cozy and well-kept. The security gate was broken at night, which was fantastic for me. To be allowed inside, you simply pressed the buzzer, but someone was always at the front desk. What a fantastic value for the money for the two of us. The square's la tabasco doesn't have breakfast, so I wouldn't recommend it for breakfast. The artisan market square has a breathtaking view of a snowcapped volcano from its top level. I would advise it, though, for any meal's view..

This place has good cleanliness and a very good location. The location is also strategic because of the very bad management. Although the hotel is open 24 hours a day, we're not. When we got back, we were locked out until RP. We even trough the neighbors yard and smuggled in to try and open the door so we could leave our stuff, but it was double locked, so we were stuck inside. The owner was very wrong and he's disciple. This is a very bad experience.

I didn't like this hostel, it's not a place to stay if you want to go to the Saturday market, the facilities are good, such as the bathroom, there is no description of the town, and there is no English spoken. But it was good that when we check out the staff were not even aware of the prices we had to pay, so that meant we had to pay for 5 dollars per night instead.

I spent a week there recently and was extremely dissatisfied. With nothing between my ribs and the bed springs, my bed was unbearably uncomfortable. There was only a brief trickle in the shower, so the shower head needed to be replaced. Additionally, the restroom was dirty. The setting of this hostel is the single plus for me. You step right into the street into the vendors if you visit the Saturday market. It may not be too bad for the price if you get the best room, but even for the small nightly rate, if you get the wrong room, you all feel taken advantage of.
