The staff were all so impressive and genuinely a caring team. The restaurant servers were very attentive. In particular, Veronica and Fernanda at the front took great care of us . It made such a difference to combine a beautiful historic property with superb service . The best experience and I’m sure we shall return someday.

This hotel is located very close to the main square. Great restaurants that are walking distance. I was traveling with a friend and both of our rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The staff was very professional and friendly. Breakfast is included and it’s delicious. Highly recommend this hotel. Cuenca is a very beautiful and safe city! Many thanks to Veronica and Fernanda for their great hospitality.

I recently stayed at Mansión Alcázar in Cuenca, and the experience genuinely stayed with me. After a long day of travel involving buses, taxis, shuttles, heat, and exhaustion, I arrived tired and overwhelmed. The very first thing they offered me was a warm towel. That small gesture meant more than I can adequately explain. It immediately shifted the experience from “transaction” to “hospitality.” I had also been unexpectedly upgraded to a much larger room than the one I originally booked. The room itself was beautiful, quiet, elegant, and deeply calming, but what impressed me most was the feeling behind everything. Nothing felt cold or corporate. The hotel felt crafted rather than processed. One detail that particularly struck me was the room key. Instead of a generic plastic card, it was attached to a large, weighty medallion marked with my room number. It may sound small, but it completely changed the emotional texture of the stay for me. It felt intentional. Memorable. Human. Throughout my stay, the staff were warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere carried a sense of dignity and calm that is increasingly rare. I have stayed in many hotels over the years, but this was one of the few places that made me pause and truly feel cared for. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

The breakfast menu was fresh, excellent. Room was clean especially the bathroom. Staff was nice and eager to help guest, Veronica in particular. She was so nice and passionate to have pride in Cuenca.

We had a great experience! The hotel was perfect fornour needs. And Pablo made sure we had everything we needed. He organized our trasportation and answered all our questions. My only feedback would be to improve the sonorization in the rooms adjacent to the commom areas. In some instances, we had other guests having loud phone conversations while we were trying to nap. Other rooms do not have this issue, but I do think it would be worthwhile improving.
