Loved the beach and the restaurant, out friends stayed at a up market place and jealous when they saw the photos tons of atmosphere, staff friendly and helpfull .little shop on site at non rip off prices .loved to have stayed longer

My first time visiting in February and it was a really comfortable temperature. The hospitality offered by this local family contrasts well with the corporate hotel culture of much of Naama Bay. I was very happy to see a responsible approach to maintaining reef health.

I have been staying at Umbi since 2008 and it’s still my fav. Place in Sharm El Sheik. Authentic, low key, clean and with the most beautiful sea, corals and fishes right at your doorstep. Nevertheless it’s sad to see a massive harbor is being built and it will destroy this natural paradise! Let’s collect firms and stop it!

We reserved a 5 day liveaboard trip, and it was simply fantastic. We stayed on the freedom ii, which was very comfortable and large for a small boat. The cabins were kept immaculately clean by the wonderful Tyson, and the showers were pleasant and hot with strong pressure to wash the red sea off. The cuisine was excellent. Im a vegan, and while I appreciate that it can be a little tricky to accommodate at times, chef Samir did a fantastic job. On our final night aboard the boat to celebrate our honeymoon, he baked us a cake for the trip even more special! Although we are fairly experienced divers, we still rent equipment wherever we go. The dive shop made this process very simple and all the equipment was in excellent condition, making all our dives comfortable and safe. Mahmoud and Mahmoud, our dive guides, were outstanding, giving clear briefs before each dive and pointing out marine life. I still dont understand how they spot stone fish! And keeping us secure all the time. The diving itself was lovely. The visibility was so clear that it felt like diving in he! Even during night dives, the water is pleasant and warm, and while a few dives we encountered some currents, most dives were relatively easy and relaxed. We love this place - nicest place to stay in Sharm by far. Not glitzy, not noisy, right on the sea, so you go to sleep and wake up to the sound of waves. Nice food and drinks. Thoroughly recommended to anyone who wants to go to Sharm without the package experience. And it's Bedouin owned - the best!

It's true to Egypt, with people who are warm inside, amazing diving guides, cute but cozy rooms. The restaurant is very good as well as the bedouin cafe, and I almost forgot the excellent dive guides.

The hotel is not luxurious, but the slogan is You come as a guest and leave as a friend, and theyre right! The atmosphere was extremely calm and friendly. The staff is very friendly. The place is peaceful and beautiful beyond. We went diving there, with Natasha Scheduler, the best instructor ever. She was like our diving mother! Firm when needed, caring, supporting us in the fun dives and also when we had some difficulties. Thank you very much.

Our beach hut, or hippy hut, was built for us. Basic, yet brilliant! Bed linen and towels are spotless, and there are comfortable mattresses, a full-size fridge, and an excellent air conditioner. Be sure it's genuinely sufficient! Being just a few steps from the beach was joy for my husband because he has mobility issues. Not to mention Umi Restaurant. That must be not only the best cuisine on the whole, but the best location as well. To be completely honest, this location is perfect. Although basic, the lodging is excellent, the meals and location are in no way better. I wrote this with the fear that everyone would come here to ruin the lovely, calm, and serene evenings spent reading or playing cards on comfy sofas right feet from the sea. If all the loud, disruptive, or abusive people are present. Its not for you. But if youre a passionate diver, snorkeler, an old hippy, or simply enjoys relaxation, tranquility, and peace. Its a tiny slice of heaven.

The place is good for staying and diving. There is a Bedouin restaurant in the village as well as the diving center. We all fell in love with Natasha because she was so kind and accommodating. They serve light meals and snacks only. The rooms and restaurant are modest but neat and functional. The food is adequate, but that's all. We also attended two initial diving courses with her. She has been teaching and diving for over 40 years. If you want to participate in some diving classes, do not try calling Watcha your top choice.

Other than I had to climb 92 stairs to get to my room and the shower is small I liked the place. I had a great view of the water from my room. I had breakfast and dinner included with my stay. It's easy to have them call a taxi for you. They have an airport shuttle too. Right on the beach at a very reasonable price. Everyone was nice and very helpful, I travel by myself and can run into problems. I will use Umbi again next time I'm in Sharm El Sheikh

I stayed in a beach cabin w/AC and private bath. Most DO NOT have views of the sea, especially as you can't even see out of the windows. BUT they are indeed very close to the beach, so loved the convenience.

Close to soho square, nice beach with very friendly staff, only the stairs to the top of the mountain was a bit hard for me, but the experience to live by mountain opposite to the sea is worth it.

I loved this place and I had a great time. I was traveling alone, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I am especially grateful to the waiter who hooked me up to his personal wifi connection after I lost my phone. And the bartender with an exuberant disposition and who taught me more Arabic and made me promise next visit we would speak only Arabic. And the night clerk, who taught me how to say "What time is it?" in Arabic after I lost my phone.(He also gave me wake up calls, one time by standing outside, looking up to my balcony and showing me on his hands what time it was, since I was already up). I loved that! And Ahmad, the trip booking agent with whom I had some great discussions and a few jokes, and the man who fashioned the blankets and towels into birds in nests and swans in ponds! They were wonderful. Oh, and the young man in the first shop, for his friendly, wonderful face and welcoming nature. The snorkeling right there was fantastic, with the most gorgeous and colorful fish. I left a pair of shoes there, so I know I'll go back. When, I don't know, but I will go back.

Das heisse Wetter trägt dazu bei, dass man sehr wenig Zeit im Hotelzimmer verbringt. Der Strand ist klein aber fein und die grossen Touristenmengen sind an anderen Stränden angesiedelt. Von daher der perfekte Ort um mal so richtig zu entspannen.

als je wilt gaan duiken kun je je geen betere plek voorstellen. wil je alleen rustig op het strand chillen en snorkelen, ook dan een erg prettige plaats 'to be '. qua prijs-kwaliteits verhouding zit het hier ook goed: met een goed ontbijtbuffet, geholpen door vriendelijk personeel.
