Hay un tramo en tierra para llegar, pero ellos estuvieron atento y nos escoltaron hasta llegar. Muy bueno el trato. Un paraíso escondido.

Had a very enjoyable stay - it’s located in a beautiful area and I would highly recommend the visit to the monkey’s and the boat trip which were both great. There is also a really good swimming pool and it was great that I could bring my dog too.

The room was very basic but had all we needed. Overall the experience was excellent due to the ambiance of being in the forest, experiencing the bay, and seeing the spider monkeys. The food was pretty good and staff were nice. I can see where this type of stay might not be for everyone but we are very glad we worked Puerto Barilla into our itinerary.

I was amazed at this place. It is located within multiple farms and all there is all types of plants/ trees/birds/ animals. The staff as amazing as the place. Emerina kept on texting me to make sure I did not get lost. It is located about six miles off the main road since you need to drive thru the farms in a dirt road to get to it. I learned my lesson in previous trips an I only rent 4x4’s or SUV’s now. One way or another, you’ll find yourself in situations that a sedan will not do. I’ll be back again to Puerto Barillas. WiFi is only available by the office/pool. No WiFi in the rooms but you don’t miss it. The rooms and surroundings are a dream. I only saw the spiders monkeys since I only stayed one night. Next time I’ll stay at least two night to do the cacao farm and boat tour.

The place is very secluded, and there is no wifi in the 'tree houses', but it is very peaceful! There is a bit of a drive on a dirt road. You could get through it in a sedan, but it would be very slow. The water does smell in the 'tree houses' but there are showers near the restaurant you can use where the water doesn't smell. I don't know the reason for this. Overall, it was a great stay.

Remote and off the beaten path. We should have bought a cooler and food items to grill.

Way out in the outskirts past a sugarcane field, tranquil and nothing but bliss, completely isolated from it all, they also have their own gas station

Everything was absolutely beautiful! :-) I would highly recommend a small refrigerator and small microwave in the small cabins; it does not make send to have a BBQ without placement of food... another recommendation the pool temperature was extremely hot, since the water was never circulation meaning the pump should be ON during the day! :-) beautiful place and amazing staff...

El personal es excelente, las casas son muy limpias y comodas, lo unico fue que en los dos noches que estuvimos el televisor no funciono bien y es necesario para entretenerse tener un buen televisor.
