I chose the hotel because it looked so good in the photos. And it was very true that both the surroundings and the rooms were beautiful. The exterior of the building where we stayed was in serious need of painting, but it looked like there were plans to do that. Their booking page claimed that there was air conditioning in the room, which was wrong because there was one in the hall of the building but it was turned off. The day had been hot and it didn't bother us as it was not too hot to sleep. Speaking of a hot day, we would have liked to swim in the nearby lake when we came as advertised in booking, but it turned out that the only place one could swim was their sauna and it was occupied. Breakfast was amazing!.

After a 40-kilometer bicycle ride in the pouring rain, we reached the property. The lady who showed us around the facilities also looked after our wet cycling clothing, and we were given a hearty welcome. Six roomy guest rooms, three on the ground floor and three upstairs, each with a bathroom, were housed in the recently renovated home. They were all tastefully renovated. Besides that, a brand new kitchen with latest in kitchenware was located below. Because we were the only people in the house, we went to a nearby grocery store and prepared our own lunch and dinner in the kitchen. Next to the guesthouse, there is a sauna building that is in excellent shape. The lakeside smoke sauna is also accessible. We started our bike journey the following morning, but prior to that, we had a fantastic breakfast in the main building. Since we were the only guests there, they essentially prepared breakfast for us. The food was excellent in quality, and we had a nice fire place next to our table, making the atmosphere very nice and peaceful. We heartily suggest this location.

I booked a mock finnish vacation home that is a part of the kumpunen family's farm. Everything was exactly as I had anticipated. The mock is located on a lake and has it's own rowing boat. The lake view is stunning. The mock is ideal for 4 people, although up to 10 people may sleep there. It includes everything we need, including a dishwasher, washer, and dryer for clothes. And of course there is a sauna, one in a separate building that is heated with wood and one in the house that is electrical. We liked that the mock wasn't too far from everything. The clock takes in Petajavesi at 1, 5 a.m., and there are stores, restaurants, and a famous old church. Hanna and juma from the kumpunen farm are really friendly and helpful. They do organic farming and also sell some of their own products. We bought strawberries and porridge oats.

They provided a row boat to go fishing on the lake. The breakfast was also good. This hotel is situated on a lovely farm beside the lake. There is a private beach with a row boat available for cruising on the lake. But the quality of the breakfast is not worth the price.
