This hotel is in a nice location but of poor quality. Hotel is dated and lackluster, breakfast is of poor quality and variety and dinner even worse if it's on the included buffet, we ate out on the last 2 nights out of 4 as need a good meal! The bar is ok bud we got removed at 10 pm as had a child as did most of the family leaving the bar a bit empty and all of us stood outside with drinks in our hands much better places to stay than here.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a family to visit Snowforest for what was an incredibly magical trip. Unfortunately the low point was the accommodation at the Santa Claus Hotel where we stayed in a tired hotel with no christmas spirit. The heating in our room was the biggest issue, but it was kept at 25 regardless of where the thermostat was set, when we raised this to reception, we were told it was to keep the pipes from freezing and we were given 2 fans among 10 plis being delivered to other guests who had the same issue at the same time as our complaint. Breakfast and dinner included were of very poor quality, both in terms of choice and seating space. One night the lights in our area were turned off, when we asked for them to be turned back on it was due to being too bright for some diners, and an industrial rechargeable spot light was placed on our table as a solution? The rooms are basic but functional and lack the toiletries that you would expect. One of the two lifts was broken the last two days of our stay. The location for rovaniemi is very good. The hotel by no means spoil our trip, but when you pay this much, there must be better options?.
